I will get to the S6 salaries and ages by Wednesday, I'm currently still mostly away from digital devices.

Ok, thank you for letting me know. Absolutely no rush. Besides it's very healthy to have a digital fast for a change.

After 1 quarter and 1/2, the score was 24-24;
My 1-3-1 defense vs his Run & Gun attack was perfect.
(at the end of the game, VPO 0/17 at 3 pts (excepted the last shot at the very last second -> 1/18 at 3 pts)

But, there were 2 more quarters...

63 / 84, a large humiliation in all sectors ! My Look Inside has been destructed by his 3-2, which is a bit unbelievable in a real world, but...
I lost rebound which is logical, but 27 OR for him :(
There are 11 blbs for his team. I think that OReb + Blocks are the main reasons of the score...

I still don't really understand how VPO can lead the HGL with his "mid" salary team. I'm pretty sure that there is very much agility & shot blocking, but...

I think many of us would be able to get some aha! moments if we'd get to see values of VPO's players, as we might learn better what makes a cost effective and succesful team in terms of team composition and especially player skills.

As far as Season 4 HGL team stats are concerned, I can confirm that stats already tell VPO's defense was truly suffocating. He wasn't on top of tables on some offensive statistics, but we all know he doesn't need to be. 1 loss so far. And yes, for you more disappointing than last season's sensationally almost winning him...

And I agree it's not logical 3-2 would work so well against look inside... even though some of his bigs are probably monsters of some kind. But maybe not totally typical ones, as like you pointed out, his player salaries are only "mid" level, despite still being almost without a loss in HGL.

Good news though (for some) is that devs are looking forward to weakening 3-2, which has become the dominant strategy nowadays if I understood and remember right..

League tables have been updated after RS Round 1, and can be found from typical places once again:
Score thread (332268.5) and
main thread (332267.6).

No shockers on Round 1, but few interesting scores and especially interesting box scores though!

What do you guys find the most interesting/semi-surprising score, or interesting box score of Round 1?

What really puzzles me is that VPO wasn't really punished by the new salary update. In my case, I had what I thought a rather efficient team, which is sadly no more under the new salary formula. From now on, I will probably have to struggle to make ends meet. This makes the case of VPO even more strange!

Ok, thanks for info GM-LennuK, I need to update this information to transfers-post whenever I have suitable chunk of time, and also add VPO's transfer (Resnati) to that transfer post.

Now I'll prioritize releasing your new salary and age etc. comparison tables.

GM-LennuK has once again created and calculated us some salary and age stats that are current for Season 6, so with the permission of GM-LennuK I will publish them here on HGL Thread.

I'll possibly add formatting (bolded text) to these later, but I don't have time for it right now. I prioritized releasing them quickly anyway.

Please note that currently on Participating teams-posts on both HGL Threads salary and age numbers still refer to Season 5 values, so see these values by GM-LennuK in this and following posts if you currently want to see fresh data.

More stats created by GM-LennuK, with his explanations/clarifications of this table included

"Just a refresher, the first salary (in bold text) is the actual salary of the top-8 players of the respective teams. The second salary (in round brackets) is the salary of top-8 players that were not purchased by the team during the previous season (here S5) or between the previous and the current season. As I mentioned above, for season 6 this salary is identical to the first salary for all teams. The third salary (in italic text and squared brackets) is the salary of top-8 players in each team that have never been transferred (sold and bought back) since they were drafted."

And 4th (and final for now) statistics/comparison post for Season 6, created by GM-LennuK:

And finally here cone the updated power rankings for the new season:

Team "power/value" in S6:

1. EOS: 27,0 [K & per y]
2. LMS: 26,8
3. KKS: 22,9
4. RAJ: 19,2
5. VIV: 18,6
6. VPO: 14,3
7. BCR: 14,1
8. WMO: 13,4
9.ED: 12,9 (better in later decimals)
10. VDT: 12,9 (worse in later decimals)
11. MAD: 11,9
12. WAG: 11,8
13. HGK: 10,2
14. LGM: 10,0
15. FRE: 9,2
16. ALA: 7,2
17. MLS: 7,0
18. SAN: 5,6

Note/explanation (from previous Seasons) on "power/value"-comparison by LennuK.:

I tried to think of other interesting parameters other than just salary and age, which would be interesting to monitor over the seasons. So, I looked into the relationship between the ages and salaries directly [...]
So, I looked at the parameter of top-8 salary sum divided by the top-8 average age to get a general parameter or a “power” ranking showing the salary to age ratio (in 1000$ per year of the average age), which could probably even be termed “value” of the players on the roster of a specific team. This by no means determines the actual value of the players in the top-8 of different teams, but is interesting to look at, when considering that a high salary and a young age are associated with a player that is actually valuable; hence the higher the described ratio is, the higher the “value” of a player would/should be. If you think such information could be interesting too, here comes the list of the HGL teams in Season 3 in the order of more to less “valuable” players in the top-8 considering their salary to age ratio.
