Second Team:

A second team in the form of an under 18 youth team would be cool. 15, 16, and 17 year old athletes. As they age out of the youth system either you sign them or they vanish forever out of the system. Max number of signees could be up to 2 optional signees.

Take the already established draft and reduce it to 2 draftees making for a maximum of 4 new 18-19 year olds per season unless you buy more from the market.

The youth team would be purely optional for everyone and free so anyone could do it. Utopia could be kept on as a paid option for people like myself that enjoy it.

Maximum number of teams per user would be 3 if you opt in for the youth team and the Utopia team. Something like this plus extending the range of youth trainers either up to 21 or down to the 15 yr olds would bring more value to that staff member that they simply have more work.

That will require changing the current drafting system.
I don't hate the idea. In Hattrick there was such youth system iirc. But they never revealed the actual skills of the players. Instead, you needed to figure out what are their "current" skills by playing them and draw conclusions based on the performance rating they achieved in the game. So you may play a guy at the C position and they get 3* rating, then at the PG they get 2*rating, so you would conclude their inside skills are better than HN and PA for example. Also, I don't want the potential to be shown, that should also be "discovered" by the manager. So sometimes you may think you have an all time great in your 15 year old prospect, only to find out they were announcers once you draft them.

I get that...but would still be an interesting element imo.

Or…. It could just give you insights to draftees in draft classes. Rather than completely overhaul the draft system process. Maybe something like each country and division has their own separate “youth league and division”. That are normally bots and no one sees or hears or has access to them. But, when you do the youth team you join these leagues. And as an added incentive incentive maybe you can do team trainings only to improve stamina or ft of the prospects.

Point being- there’s options and ideas that could be had and done
