We are talking with several veterans including ones in CLUB mode :)

Just make sure that some of them aren't his (new BB) buddies, but critics. Or else you will get echo chamber feedback. Also remember that NT mode is played by less than 1 percent of players and if player base expands, it's gonna be more like 0.01 percent :)

that arena design is actually a good investment (unless you had different design already). Over next 3-4 years you will get your money back and then start making pure profit

arena seats not worth it though as you already had 20k capacity

Top real-world sports clubs have already proven that rushed, poorly discussed overhauls paired with inconsistent policy swings can wipe out years of long-term team-building. Barcelona and Manchester United are well-known examples: once core financial or roster rules change abruptly, every long-term plan made by managers goes up in smoke.

This matters even more for a manager game built around long-term planning. As the developers and rule-setters of this game environment, you must exercise extreme caution when rolling out any major changes. These flip-flops will only slowly erode the confidence of veteran managers who have invested years into this game.

The hasty original changes already drove away many long-term players. Now everyone has adjusted their teams and plans to adapt to the new rules, only to hear the changes are reversed. Just ask yourselves: how many more players will leave after this announcement?

To be honest, this financial overhaul barely affects me since I run a newly founded team. I just had to endure a tough stretch of getting outplayed. Yet I can hardly imagine how managers who poured massive time and effort into their teams feel right now — whether they feel they have been fooled.

Back in the week after Marin announced the reforms, you could have simply rolled back the changes when facing massive pushback from the community, instead of waiting until everyone had already made costly preparations for the new rules.

I first got into BB around 2009. Back then, my country’s league system had five divisions. When I returned last year, we could barely keep three divisions alive. I often face inactive, abandoned teams in Division III now. This is no longer the BuzzerBeater I remember.

Do you know how long Im preparing my generation?
Do you know how long I was saving those 8 mil, spent on 1 player?

All because the change that should happen in few weeks.
Over night, a new decission, no changes will be made.
Is someone joking?

I really feel like the biggest fool on Buzzerbeater, and probably I am.

If I make a new plan, who knows, maybe a new change in 4 weeks

PS I appreciate your work guys, trying to bring BB on the next lvl, but those overnight changes are really bad.

I invested few RL years in my plan, and it all fell apart.

This is where we hold them!

I kinda liked the changes (especially regarding the salary formula and the 3-2 zone) and the threshold should had probably been implemented gradually, but I guess it is what it is. I'm kinda surprised though because I thought the changes except tax threshold were welcomed by the majority.

An additional point I would like to make is that I'm usually okay with decisions regarding the gameplay/rules (because also in real life sometimes it is not up to you but rather to the management or responsible organization/individuals), which means that when there is a change I try to adapt accordingly even though I don't like it, and I'm okay with that because it is realistic to me.

However, as some of the users in this thread have already pointed out, I think it is also important to avoid any conflict of interest that might occur when making decisions. I just hope that is also being taken into consideration, best regards.

First of all this whole situation is really unfortunate and it has caused significant damage to many people including myself.

Secondly a big thank you to the game developers for putting their hands up and admitting the mistake. The changes were made too quickly and as painful as it may be to admit a more gradual transition would have been fairer. That said the damage has already been done so I’m not sure how much rolling the changes back will actually help at this point.

Unpopular opinion or perhaps more of a question: is there really a need to rework the rewards assuming the 3-2 position gets nerfed? For years there has been no real path to success with any other defensive setup while this particular defense has become the only viable option if you actually want to compete.

I would personally see fixing this defensive setup as the number one priority after the transition to the new user interface.

P.S. The new website is great and the changes to rebounding are more than welcome!
