TBA #9 (Playoffs post/schedule).

Please remember to organize new Playoff matches every single week, if you keep on winning (or lose in semifinals) and are still participating on this Season's Playoffs!

Please note this:
Official match time during Season 5 Playoffs will be your local equivalent of 15.30 a.k.a. 3.30PM EET DST (Eastern European Time, Daylight Savings Time a.k.a. Summer Time).
(So for instance in Poland and France, which are 1 hour behind of EET, Playoffs match time on Season 5 will be 02.30PM their local time).
This time should be the same that you see on your BB schedule page on this Season; for example in my teams' schedule HGL matches seem to take place at 15.30, a.k.a. 03.30PM (don't accept match if it doesn't seem to take place at the time you are supposed to play all your HGL matches)

Also remember, Playoff matches are played on Sundays only!

When organizing matches for Playoffs, please remember to be especially accurate with correct match court balance (always home/away for Playoffs matches!) as I can not verify that before match has started; remember that scores on wrong court balance will not be accepted!

Please note: OPP or DEF in stats category name means it’s teams’ opponents statistic, in other words ’defensive statistics’.

Total REB % = team has been able to get this %-value of total rebounds available in a match
Off REB % = team has been able to get this %-value of offensive rebounds available for them in a match
AST/TO = teams’ assist to turnover ratio; relation of teams own assists vs. Own ball handling errors (turnovers)
ST+BL/TO = teams’ steals+blocks to turnover ratio; teams’ own defensive contribution vs. Own ball handling errors (turnovers)
ST+BL/FL = teams’ steals+blocks to committed fouls-ratio; teams’ ability to produce positive defensive contributions without fouling
FLS aver. = teams’ fouls per match
Opp. FLS = teams’ opponents fouls per match

Score margin = teams’ scored points minus conceded points, average per match
Scoring OFF = scoring offense; average scored points per match
Scoring DEF = scoring defense; average allowed points per match

OPP Eff.FG% = same explanation as above; team’s opponents’ effective field goal shooting percentage; a.k.a. defensive eFG%

Block rate = how large percentage of opponents’ two point attempts team has been able to block

*=Note:
- steal rate,
- turnover rate,
- possessions/game and
- opponent possessions/game
are close estimates/approximations!

*Steal rate = how often (percentage of opponents’ offences) team is able to steal the ball when opponent has the ball possession.
*Turnover rate = how large percentage of teams’ ball possessions end up in a turnover.
*Possessions = teams’ possessions per game.
*OPP. Possess. = teams’ opponents’ possessions/game

This added abbreviation is mostly a reminder to myself on double-checking HGL Season 3 Playoff/Season 4 Regular Season official HGL match times (as in many "HGL countries" DST is observed, but Uruguay isn't one of those countries).

?*=@MrJ: As there are seemingly 6 different time zones in Australia, so please contact me if you don't reside in a same time zone anymore or if you notice some mistake in that time above (which is intended to be your local equivalent of 3.30PM EET Daylight Savings Time).
I believe last time you were playing in HGL time difference to Eastern European Time n(EET) was 6 hours, but as we learned earlier, Daylight Savings Time also works differently "down under" than it does in Europe, and everything affects everything. To make matters even more complicated, it seems to me that some parts of Australia observe DST, while some parts/territories do not.
In the perfectly possible and understandable case of not wanting to reveal your location in terms of city where you live, could you please at least specify your time zone to me by BBMail, and also let me know if that time zone does or does not observe DST. Also if you'd inform me on what time does our RS meeting on Season 5 show to be played at when you look at your BB schedule, it would give me an added confirmation that info that I provide about your team to others is correct.

(What everyone who participates to Season 5 of HGL needs to do now-post)


Season 5 HGL Threads (main and scores thread) have now been set up, so HGL related conversation will mainly take place in those Threads from now on (links at the end of post).

What everyone who participates to Season 5 of HGL needs to do now:

1. At least briefly check out your season schedule (posts 6 and 7 on Season 5 Scores Thread, link at the end of post);
I'm saying this because during seasons I've spotted multiple small mistakes from my posts, so in general having another eyes to check things briefly doesn't harm.
On the other hand, we're reusing schedule from Season 4, so something extremely strange should've happened if Season 5 RS schedule would be faulty in some way.

2. Create an own box score post for your team, just like during all earlier HGL Seasons.
As an idea for your convenience (and to retain preferred standard for HGL) you should reply to this message here: (331391.22) and from that post of mine copy-paste everything below * * * * * * * to create your own box score post (and after copy-pasting it, you only need to change your team name/abbreviation, opponent name for each Regular Season round, and add match links to it as soon as matches for Season 5 have been organized by you and your opponents).
If you need a memory refresher on how your box score post for the season works/how you edit it once you have box score links to add, you can read this post: (328546.13).

3. Familiarize yourself with match organization process if you need a refresher (guide will be made available on 'Announcement'-posts on both Official Threads) and ask questions (if needed) preferably before you'll start the process.

4. Start organizing HGL Regular Season matches (sending and accepting Pickup match challenges, 17 per team during Season 5)

5. Please note that I have changed the way how PU match challenge responsibilities (CR) are shown in schedule: if you see # in front of your team name, you are responsible for sending challenge (and if you don't see it in front of your team name, it's your responsibility to accept correct challenge against that opponent).

6. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
It's always better to ask first, if you´re unsure about something, even though learning by mistakes is also effective (as we all have experienced, I´m sure). We have many helpful managers in our HGL community, and if you don't feel like asking on Official Threads, you may also send me a BBMail. Sometimes though you might receive quicker answer on Threads, so that's one of the reasons why I recommend that option, especially if you're pressed with time with your problem.
