I don't really like long speeches, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to read one, so I'll be brief.
We need a new NT coach. I think we need an English coach, not because we don't want a foreign coach, but because I think it would be good for the community to have an English coach.
I'd like that coach to be me.
I've been in the game for almost three calendar years. You may not have noticed me, but some people have. I've had a couple of promotions, and recently lost in a playoff final chasing a third, with a salary level 140-250k lower than the other three play off semi finalists.
I also have a decent tournament record, I made two semi finals, and a quarter final in successive years. Indeed I think I'm the only D2 coach ever to take a team to three successive quarter finals. Interestngly, the last two teams to beat me in the cup have had to crunch me, and both promoted to the EBBL in the same season.
Personally I don't think what I've done with a D2 team is enough to recommend me to you as our NT coach. But I've also been involved with the u21 setup under Vecx, and before that with Morwood, and its my intention to use what I've learned during that time with the NT.
Obviously we've lacked communication, and more importantly co-ordination the last two seasons. I intend to correct that, without becoming a ubiquitous, annoying presence. I have a good relationship with our u21 coach and can use that to our advantage in bringing younger players through, which we'll need, now and in the future.
I feel like our ranking reflects our position fairly well in BB. On court Tuck did a good job, I don't think we can fault him there. I would hope to be able to at the very least keep our performances at that level, though I'll certainly be trying to improve if we can.
On a personal note, I feel confidence is highly important in any endeavour. Its the key to good performance. It leads me to enter any game with the feeling that I can win, no matter the odds. If you vote for me, you're voting for someone who does not know when he can't win. However, while saying that, I am aware that sometimes in BB, you need to try less in one game so you can win the next.
I'm willing to answer any and all serious questions. I'll only speak in general terms about tactics but I will say I've never depended on one tactic, in fact I used many tactics last season, and the introduction of GDP is something I've embraced.
If you've read this far, thank you. I look forward to answering your questions.
Oh, and please vote for me.
