LETS HELP EACH OTHER
Hindi ko alam kung aAgree kayo lahat, but some of us has been very active and we created a good bond sa league natin na ito. So, kung gusto ng iba sa inyo, maybe we could help each other, understanding the game. pero huwag kayong mag-alala, hindi po natin kailangan turuan ang isat isa all we need to do is to copy paste. Maybe takot iyong iba sa atin na baka ma-informnatin ng sobra iyong ibang team at maging dahilan iyon ng pagkatalo pa nila, but if you think long term, one at a time aalis naman tayo dito sa 3.7 and mas magiging matindi ang labanan sa higher leagues at magiging malaking tulong ito para sa atin.

HOW?
All we have to do is to COPY PASTE things that you have read sa forum na pwedeng makatulong sa lahat.

1. Skill (give the specific skill)
2. Game Engine (kasama dito iyong pace at focus)
3. Economy (anong part ng economy, be specific if necessary)
4. Training (give position if necessary)
5. Game Analysis/Boxscore
6. Staff
7. Arena
8. others (give any description)

Game Engine and Passing

The worst offensive player averages 20% and shoots 10 shots per 48.
The best offensive players averages 50-60% shooting and 30 shots per 48.

So even if he is a horrible player he will still take some shots.

Yes, you are absolutly right, that the worst player will take shots. And it's almost impossible to stop him from taking such shots.
The engine was designed in favor for taking shots. It benefits shoting more than passing. Charles said, that a player with equal skills in shooting and passing will end up with taking more shots than passing the ball. The only thing you can do, is to increase the gap in favor for passing. This will lead to less shots, but it will never be 0. So I have to live with this.

Jump Range
The effect of JR is apparent on my trainees. Two of my trainees have 8 JR, while the third as 3. All have 12 JS. In over 4000 minutes of analysis, the player with better JR will shoot more assisted jump shots. They will also shoot more assisted/contested 3 point shots.
The player who is more aggressive will shoot more shots and miss more often. (aggression by how often they foul)
The less aggressive shooter will take less shots but make them more often.

I had two shooters. One with 17-11 and the other one with 17-10. The 17-11 took more shots, but in the end they were almost equal. I don't know how a player performs if he has less JR. I never had a SG without JR at least 10.

Game Engine - Defense
Generally good or bad a defender will contest around 10 shots per 48. Generally centers will contest the most shots. Good defenders might contest closer to 9 shots/48 while poor defenders will generally contest around 11 shots/48. The sign of a good defender is the percentage of shots made. A good defender will give up around 15% whereas a bad defender may give up 40%.

With contest you mean defend or? If yes, I can give you some numbers.
My C Sutherland defends 15 shots/48 min. He is the man with the most work at defense. I let him play against the best inside player.
Haek: defends 11 shots/48 min as a PG and 11 shots/48 min as a C.
Deng: defends 9 shots/48 min as a PG and 11,5 shots/48 min as a C.

So you are almost right with your numbers. And also your 15% for the best defenders is a good number. Haek and Deng have a success rate of 82%-87%. So if they defend a shot, their opponents have a FG% of only ~15%.

Team Build
However, good offense can be centralized to a few key players.

3 Players. There is also a code in the engine which is responsible for this. Your 3 best players will take 60%+. If you have a balanced team it will decrease. In a specialized team the top 3 will have higher %.

So what does this data tell me? Every position is important. You want players that can play defense in general at every position. ... So even guys you don't want shooting all that often may lose you a game if they decide to take more shots than normal.

Yeah, every position is important and sometimes a specific position is more important. I want two guys, who can switch every game their defense position. If my opponent has a strong PG and PF, I want my best guys to defend them. If my next opponent has a SF and C as the go-to-guys, I need two guys for them. It's to expensive to have 5 shutdown-defenders. But 2 defender and 3-5 scorers are possible. And these scorers have to compensate the inability of my to defenders. It's a price I have to pay.
