I get that team distribution between both sides will never be perfect. But just having a look at both conferences it’s evident how unbalanced it is.

There’s 6 teams on the East that, in practical terns, are only matched by two from the West. To the point that our worst ranked team here could take a play-off spot in the Western Conference.

Which means there’s a natural edge when it comes to realistic options for promotion for either of the teams on the Western Conference. They only have to fight one match before the final. Us in the Eastern Conference will have to go through The Hunger Games to stand a shot at such final. And whichever team from our side makes it will face court disadvantage.

Enthusiasm will (likely) be lower too. And of course injuries (total luck; nothing to do with conferences) might also come into play.

Hoping the next season will be more balanced.

I was always of the opinion that reaching a playoff spot in II.3 is more difficult and rewarding than in the first division. This league has been, in my opinion, the most difficult league among all divisions of Nations of Europe, perhaps even of all of Europe.

It seems to me that in order to get out of this II.3 hellscape, that you need to use same tactics like the other big-boy nations in order to reliably climb the ranks:
- Tank for multiple seasons, maybe even dropping to a division III.X
-In Div III, buy several players worth 1-3M dollars each, and then fight your way to the top(obviously, you'll be in a -50k to-200k financial loss per week for 16 weeks per seaso, maybe even more).
-pray that you wont suffer through any critical injuries
-immediately compete in Div I.1

What I have noticed is that 90% of the time, those who ''bully'' or ''buy'' their way into Div I.1 here, immediately drop down again the following season. While those who maintain sustainable teams (and frankly have a better team composition as well), are stuck playing against all the powerhouses stuck in one group.
