BuzzerBeater Forums

My name is Andy, and I am helping out with the marketing efforts of BuzzerBeater. We at BB have decided to increase our efforts to be more active in some of our national forums. I have been assigned to be the Spanish BB liaison to your community.
I’ve created this thread to better communicate with you as an official BB liaison to the Spanish community, and I will try to check and respond to it often. Unfortunately I only speak English so I will be posting and reading only English postings. Hopefully this will not hinder our communication with one another. I would eventually like to get a native Spanish liaison to work with more closely in the future.
My goals for the community are as follows:
- Build the community: Increased presence on outside forums, or communications with local media (newspapers, magazines, etc.). One member referred us to a outside Basketball Forum. We did a banner exchange and increased membership within that community by over 500 members in one week! The bigger the community the better your playing experience.
- Potential marketing partnerships with local Spanish companies (Sponsor Advertisements, Prize donations, etc.) We can work out a commission payment for any ad revenue found by any member. This revenue will be used to improve the overall BB experience, and will enable us to add more features, and get rid of any non-relevant advertisements from our banner ad network.
- Get ideas and feedback from its members (Any ideas to help us improve the BB experience for you would be appreciated).

Thanks for your help with this. I would love to see the see the Spanish community grow and maintain its position as the top community on BuzzerBeater.

Un miembro de otra comunidad les recomendó un foro externo de baloncesto, hicieron un intercambio de banners, y consiguieron 500 nuevos miembros en una semana. Cuanto más grande sea la Comunidad BB, mejor será la experiencia de juego.

No hay foro de basket en España más grande que el propio de ACB, por si sirve de algo, aunque (al menos de momento) no tiene publicidad, pero todo se puede probar, si quieres decírselo al "colega".

Suggestion about the ticket prices, which could be set for each match instead of monthly. It takes too long to correct a mistake in the ticket price choice. Maybe changing ticket price each 15 days would be better.

Precio Entradas

La verdad es que el tema me gusta bastante como está, pero por sugerirlo no creo que pierda nada.

Mi idea sería que pudieses marcar el precio de las entradas para cada partido individualmente (es decir, para cada partido), y tener que hacerlo, por ejemplo, con 2 semanas de antelación para que los aficionados pudieran comprarlas con tiempo. La verdad es que tal y como está tiene su gancho, pero si la cagas estás un mes comiendote los mocos, y eso es mucho tiempo.

Un problema que tiene mi idea son los partidos en copa, que no habría tiempo suficiente para que fueran dos semanas, pero como se saben los partidos semana a semana, tampoco creo que hubiese problema para que las entradas tuviesen que estar fijadas 3 ó 4 dias antes y listo.

Y si no les gusta que se piensen cambiar el tema de meses por quincenas para hacerlo más "real".

I have 2 questions.

1. Are you satisfied with the cup system? Don't you think it's a little bit unfair? I think it would be more logical that at the beginning higher divisions clashed with lower divisions, giving field advantage to lower division. Are you agree?

2. Playing CT or TIE affects visible ratings?

A tu 2ª pregunta te respondo yo: NO.

I would like to know if inside shot is related to driving or the possibility of score a driving play is independent of your capability on inside shot.

Mi propuesta que hago es que haya una barra de desplazamiento en el cuadro de información de lo que ocurre durante el partido en directo, la cual la puedas mover y saber qué ha pasado desde el minutos 0 del primer cuarto hasta el minuto 12 del último cuarto. Hay veces que por lo que sea no ves quién mete la canasta o quién da una asistencia quién coge un rebote, etc., y parece que esa información desaparece para siempre en las jugadas siguientes, estaría bien poder acumular ese tipo de información a tipo de reporte una vez dentro del mismo partido en directo.

LA-ebustelo, te escribo a ti para ver si puedes traducir este mensaje al inglés y para shortdoctor, que hasta tanto no llego. Hazlo como veas, espero que la idea que quiero transmitir se entienda bien.

/ebustelo: Te respondo yo con lo que sé. Es un tema del visor que está programado en Flash y debe haber algún tipo de incompatibilidad con lo que pides (ya se había comentado en el foro Suggestions), y encima creo que el encargado del visor no está operativo y tienen una buena ristra de bugs por resolver.

Hi everybody,

BB-Andy was helping us out with our community for a month in between jobs, and has since moved on to something more full-time.

I notice that this forum has been a bit neglected since he left... I'm really sorry about that! I'd like to step in as the new BB-liaison to Spain. I'm very excited to meet you all!

Unfortunately, I don't speak too much Spanish (my French is OK, but I would really prefer English :-)), but I'm sure we'll be able to communicate effectively.
