Trick to winning early on is to try and avoid heavy staff salaries, resist the temptation to fill your team with young players thining you can train up players at the start, training is very tough early on, slow and costly and unlikely to reward you as you expect. Your best bet is to pick up salary efficient players (high TSP and skills and low salaries).

As you suggest you need to build your arena ready for D2. The arena trick is to build the Bleachers first, get them up to 10k but no higher until later in the game. Maximise your income by hiking your prices to the point you are about 95% full in each type of seating - this takes a bit of trial and error and the more your country and world rank goes up, the more you can charge.

First round of the cup facing human teams next week and there are some interesting games drawn this early in the cup.

Probably most interesting is the EBBL battle between Arsenal 98 and Cambois Donkeys. Arsenal picked up a 13 point win in this fixture earlier this season but things are always more complicated when having to be competitive in 3 games a week to manage minutes.

Other interesting games for top teams (in my opinion):

LIDLTallfella Vs new jersey2- Elmacca appears to have gone inactive but this means his first team is playing every game, so a strong team but in bad shape, can new jersey2 provide a shock?

Porzigod vs BC Zalgiris- Zalgiris have one of the strongest teams in the EBBL but lack depth so a tough test away against a strong division 2 side may throw his minutes management out of control.

Bethnal Green Erks vs kotwa- kotwa in the EBBL this season face the Green Erks who were relegated last season. 2 good teams battling early in the cup.

Yes, we have some good rivals. I will face the human team as well. On paper, my team is stronger - but we will see it can bring some surprises.

Also another topic - is it feels like to win league III is harder than staying in league II as when the team drops feels like they buy players who is stronger than they had in League II just to win and get again promoted ;D

He is saved by his supporter from going bot, but as to when his supporter runs out no-one knows. He is one of three teams that started in season 3! Would be a real shame to lose him from the game.

We got a few shocks on the cup this round. 4 EBBL teams crashed out of the cup in the first round against humans!

Bergkamp has been rewarded for his away win against Cambois Donkeys by drawing another EBBL team away in Stinkilemons. Bethnal Greens Erks beat one EBBL team in kotwa and then draw another EBBL team in MexicanTaxiDriver, can they claim a second EBBL scalp?

Best thing about the cup is the unpredictability of it, especially in the early rounds as teams try to manage a cup run alongside the league campaign.

WOW - Biggest win in my career we won against London Whales (EBBL) team in a cup game! I studied what kind of strategies he uses I knew he might try to attack me inside so I decided to play more with PG/SF/SF positions - I watched this game and IT WAS SO CLOSE ALL THE TIME in 4th quarter my 2 leaders got fouled out first main PF Joakim and after that in the end Rampton after Joakim (PF) got fouled out it's started to go into London Whales side as Mica Pavlov is still young and too weak to conquer against this kind of front line (I MEAN LONDON WHALES IS STRONGER ON THE PAPER 100 PERCENT AGAINST US) anyway I just wanted to share my happiness here and it's a small or big pay day for a hard-working, studying strategies and similar things - https://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/119353582/boxscore.aspx

That’s a great win for you! Whales are a great team, obviously it wasn’t their strongest team but any win against a team 2 divisions higher is a big achievement.

One thing I will say about your tactics, you GDP guessing inside and normal pace. No offence fits that mix. LI is inside fast, LP is inside slow and inside isolation is balanced normal.

Well done and good luck in the next round.
