Great to see Lyle already getting some playing time. I responded to your BB-Mail days ago, hope it didn't get lost on the way to your inbox

What about this player: (47481047)

I got your message, read it - but just didn't reply yet. Sometimes takes some time. That guy was listed as possible. Since he had too many minutes in the week before I called the roster, I wanted to see if he adjusted by himself. Now I'll contact him (after todays cup-game) - also concerning possible training since he needs loads of training to be a real help for the future. Especially passing, if possible also some OD and then 1on1 and his inside-skills. So quite a lot of work, but at least not (yet) a player lost for the NT.

Well, I get them fowarded to my email-address so I don’t even need to log in. And also, after having read but Not having answered a bb-mail, i mark them as unread in order to remind myself to answer them as soon as possible.

Well, and that‘s what I expected to happen and was hoping it wouldn’t. It shows his manager doesn’t really care much about GS. I‘ll try to make him understand why that‘s important as well as training but as long as I see minutes like that, he‘s not going to be part of the roster...unfortunately!

Well, lineup is set. I'm still not sure about the GDP, might be the first time that I get it wrong. Or won't use one. But since we've again nothing to lose, we'll just continue with our small project. So far, some managers haven't responded. As expected, but not hoped for. I'll contact a couple of more, let's see what will happen.

As predicted: first time wrong GDP. I was kind of expecting a Motion. I knew they wouldn’t play LI and was pretty sure they would go with normal or slow tempo. With normal i would have also had standard and the two ISO-tactics, that‘s why I decided to give it a try. And since David Doles already had an ok GS 7 after his near retirement, I decided to test our offensive power with LI. Not too bad, given that we don’t have many players suited for that tactic. Yet!

Fitchy had his debut with GS 9, shooting 3-4 for 6 points. If he can promise that shooting % he‘ll play a lot more, promised!

The other „young gun“ Lyle didn’t score but dished out two assists and grabbed a board. And had (along with MacGilllonie) a positive rating with +1. So, we just have to find more guys like those two 22y olds. And more managers like the Highlander dedicated to training them!

Have a good week, everyone!

Alexis, thank you for sharing your thoughts NT on the forum. We, although we do not write anything special here, but we definitely read it.
I hope that in the last 3 matches of the group stage, the team will be able to fight the opponent

Thanks! Yes, I also hope to be competitive, but won’t promise anything, though. Doles is for sale again (was just a short term solution for the manager, as he told me). Good that I called him up, because I feared those teams that would buy him for 30k and then fire him, meaning retirement. So, for now he‘s probably not going to play much, but I wouldn’t want to see him retire just now, either...

Have you read the mid-season announcements? That's really, really exciting news! Meaning that starting next season, there will (hopefully) be a lot more scottish draftees, hopefully some with high potential to be trained for the NT. And also more players that might help the U21. This is going to change the NTs of micro-nations for sure - and for good. I've had contact (meaning getting replies) of 4 managers training 22y olds from last season. We sure lack inside players with Doles again for sale and the other two diminishing in their skills. And some others playing too many minutes. I saw that you're training some inside players, TRUF. Those are going to be needed, and very fast!

This really is fun trying to "reset" the NT to make it competitive in the future. It's going to take about 6 seasons to start seeing results, I guess ... I hope you bear with me and then TRUF (who's hopefully continuing to implement young players into the roster). After we're out of the tournament, I'll really start with the rebuilding process. Players that shouldn't be part of the roster (yet) may get some playing time to motivate their managers to continue training them. Just to let you guys know what my intentions are...

Yes, soon small nations will be able to become stronger. However, the NT team will get a boost later than the U21s. I think by the end of the season it is necessary to outline some plan, how and who to train

I‘d rather outlay that plan now, rather sooner than later. Highlander is training the NTs future guards. But does have too many young players to give everyone training. So maybe we could find someone who could take on some of his trainees and continue their training? And I guess you‘re destined to train the frontcourt players...right now I‘m sitting in a train so it‘s not so easy via mobile phone to navigate the site and make a plan. But I intend to make suggestions to you, might take until the end of next week, maybe sooner. And then we‘ll talk.
