Wooow, a MAJOR buy from Dartreb today with a purchase of 6.2 million (!!!) for Patrick Elsen

I'm truly astonished by the amount managers have to pay these days to get premium players, the rise in transfer prices doesn't seem to come to an end, it just keeps going up.

And i can't help but think that Dartreb made this purchase to secure a playoff spot, and attempt to surprise with some great performances in the playoffs. Maybe an underdog position is exactly what Dartreb is looking for in the playoffs ?
I think Dartreb will still make the playoffs, and still has to be reckoned with, especially after his recent purchase...

That's what a great player costs nowadays assuming you can find a suitable one. And he's not even world-class material like Skret was.

I'm not securing whatsoever, what would a 4th spot earn me ? I'll get out to Ventola eventually. My PG plays SG in order for my SG to be trained at the right position, and Frans isn't good enough yet for BBBL, and my C is a default choice - yet again if I don't have a better one, that's not because I'm holding money but beccause there isn't the player I want on the TL.

This is a longer-term buy ; I'm trying to raise one of the finest SF Belgium has ever had with Gaethofs, but he needs a lot of training out-of-position. Right now my SF spot was occupied by Skret's replacement, who is no BBBL material. I struggled a lot because of that, and have been looking after a suitable replacement ever since - unfortunately no one was to be found.

Elsen came by with quite a fine skill-set, and will be a great addition, but I overpaid him by 1.2 M approx. However, what does it mean ? Today you can't find a player AT ALL, so I'm not going to coplian about the price. Elsen may well do 6 seasons at the club until Gaethofs is good enough to occupy his spot.

So basically I have found a solution at the SF spot for the upcoming 10 seasons or so, and that's a great relief.

That's it, no ambition besides that. Of course, right now we will most probably fight for a home play-off game rather than an away one, but this is only for next season, as this one was crap. Trainees did very well however.

Maybe, if prices drop, I'll buy myself the C and SG I need to "try" something but this is highly unlikely.

You have 3 very nice trainees who are reaching their pontential. Besides that, I reckon it's a nightmare to fuind suitable players inside, but you put your hands on Legaye who's good enough to make several seasons ...

and I start to think about the end of the Cowboys. I don't see the interest to continue like that...

Joe, please try to find new motivation for your team, because you saying that made me suddenly very sad. You are the most appreciated Belgian manager ever, and seeing you go, would be a dark and black day for many Belgian managers here on buzzerbeater.
You mean too much for the Belgian BB cummunity, i don't think you are aware of the full importance of your presence for a lot of Belgian managers. Personally for me, you are the go-to person when i need advice, and i always appreciate your willingness to help me and other managers out VERY MUCH.
So please, don't take such decision lightly....

There is a gigantic fight in the red conference to know the final rankings on spots 6, 7 and 8. Almost every week cards are newly dealt between Sgolba, transmission and yolymapa ...

This is a big deal : 8th goes down no matter what : 7th has to face Providence thus will also most probably go down, while 6th will have an easy time against Rainmakers ...

I wonder how things will turn out !
