I agree that the rookies are not easy to find - besides being expensive.

Something one should not forget is that the number of active BB players has dropped significantly. Less teams, less players, good players trained. It's the laws of supply and demand.

I'm not sure whether the deciders are willing to lower the TL prices but imo one of the possible solutions would be to provide much better rookies - I mean players who can have an impact straight away or at least who have much better skills. Afterall, rookies coming in the NBA can be used straight away and some even become franchise players in the first season.

Yeah, but that's kind of a "power creep" solution. And training requirdes a lot of commitment : any dumbass can hoard money long enough to buy himself a team to succeed (not to succeed in everything, but at least get some success) but training a player with a fine skill plan and sticking to it no matter the cost while also getting results / trophies / avoidong relegation, etc ... requires some serious skill.

If you take it away by making the lottery of the draft even worse, that's not rewarding for the teams that actually provide good players.

And NBA rookies have quite some time at university level before they are drafted, so it's not as if they were fresh from high school :p

what i'm most dissapointed about is that i haven't seen a single 18y old MVP belgian player on the TL. if you don't get a decent draft, then it seems that you'll have to try and pry them away from there managers after a couple of seasons training. considering that this is problably not the first time, it shows that our futur NT probably isn't going to have a too big of a pool of players to chose from (good news for my draftee []

Just some figures for you from the draft-scouting:
- we had about 120 newly drafted players in our database; we started to contact the managers monday and most mails were already send that evening itself. This had to be done as quick as possible to prevent players to be put on retirement and eventually start the training as soon as possible.
- 66 of them answered (49 from 18y, 17 from 19y)
18y: 6 HoF, 2 MVP; 19y 3 HoF, 5 MVP
- 53 (41 from 18y, 12 from 19y) didn't answered or are not active (no bots). They even should have got a reminder-mail!
18y: 1 HoF, 3 MVP; 19y 1 HoF, 4 MVP
All of these 66 answers were appointed a scout (some already during the same week, the last ones on saterday) and again contact was made during the weekend...
I've especially mentioned HoF and MVP as GM-Athrunzala seems to be interested in the chances his Jean-Didier has ;-)

As to the TL: more then 120 belgian players star+ potential were on that list during last week, and lot of them in one or another way trainable (although not all to U21-levels). I didn't looked them up all, but I don't think more then 30 have been sold. MVP's and HoF's on the list were sold....
Lot of these players on the TL...were exactly listed due to our mails making some managers attentive to their nice players.

So do not hesitate if having questions about our draft to ask them!

I've had to sell him indeed... with pain in my hart!
But in fact he didn't fit into my training plans as you supposed! I have to concentrate on training Harm and now new draft Thierry. Meanwhile I have U21 JP and 19y old Lennart in my rangs! Lennart has chances to reach U21 if well trained. There are still hard decissions upcoming ...pfff

As you know many teams on the red side are rebuilding and trying to save money, so I guess this is the main cause

Shame on you, red side teams

You are costing me money lol

You have not searched well because there were 18y old MVP belgian players on the TL. Eagle has sold his player 1M.

And actually you can find one 18y old MVP belgian player and two 19y old MVP+ belgian players (the HoF is nice and not expensive).

Yes Angi, Joe is right. It seems you haven't searched very well then.

I got a premium price for my 18y old MVP, 1 million !
The only reason i sold him, was because i already have 4 other prospects currently in training.
You know, this last draft, i was lucky enough to draft an 18y old MVP, and a 19y old Hall Of Famer.

EDIT (Correction 27/02) : My 18y old that i sold was also a HoF i see now.
