I just took a look at the economy page, and was flabbergasted by the drop in TV Contract !!
That's a drop of almost 18K in TV Contract revenue alone !

Euh, which drop? Last season we had 189 188$ et now 189 612$. We have more! ;)

You are right, now it's almost the same again, but last week it said 171K, and i was not dreaming, lol.
Guess it was a temporary glitch ...or maybe it was because of the inter-season period.

Looks like I'll have to fight fiercely against relegation, for the first time since a long time.

That's slightly disappointing considering my payroll, I'll probably have to rethink my whole team if things don't improve. What the hell is going on ?

The cup begin to be difficult for a lot of D.I team:
Basket Mizu Arlon @ Providence Steamrollers
Kelmis Spartans @ Phoenix_heaven
SGOLBA_dynamite @ Obira Dragons
RSC Eagles @ AmenRa

At least 4 new BBBL teams will be out next week.

15 days without a post, that must be a record! What's going on guys?
Is it the pressure of the Cup? The lack of suspense in the league? The silence before a shark attack? The daily capitalist life that eats everyone's freetime?

Nothing to say, despite my wages my team is hardly good enough to survive in BBBL this season, just waiting for better days.

And as usual, if I don't post there's no posting happening, whether be it in the B3 topic or the NT one, fortunately AZ is keeping the forums alive with his U21 or else it would be completely still here in Belgium.

But that's fine, if I wanted to comment my season so far, I'd say I'm hugely disappointed ; this was to be expected since I had to sacrifice results for training reasons, but my team is performing even more poorly than what I expected.

I really hope not to drop into D.2, but I must reckon I wasn't good enough to be a top manager in BB. There are still are too many things I don't get, and I don't find explanations for.

Perhaps next seasons will be a better one, that is if I live this one through, that is ...

get some young guns and train them. i've dropped down to III for some easy training (altho i'm kinda happy with what i got and will start climbing back up to a more competitive place).

As for the economical rules:
They are unfair for micronations. the micronations problem needs to be solved. Once that is done, then it should be fair for all, but as it stands now, they earn way to much money on a way to easy way. and solving that issue without losing all the managers in the micronations is a big problem. I do believe that a decision will be made at some point & that it will be implemented at some point. but untill that time has come, things will linger on for a while. problem is that the midsize nations are starting to be mirconations because people are losing motivation. Either way, let's wait & see. it's all we can do.

in the meanwhile, i'm clearing my backlogg of work on BB & then going ahead with the new forum topics. i'll make a post here once they are 'live'

In my honest opinion, one of the topics that should be raised is the COMPLETE failure of the current draft system.
I am not saying I have all the answers (well, I'm not paid to work for BB) but if you're very lucky, you get a high potential rookie with low skills (some 7 or 8 at the utmost). That's about 5-6 of them per season overall in Belgium, For all the other teams, the kids you get are useless.

I believe in a new rookie profile with much better skills (9 or 10) and fair to good potential, or- if not - at least many more high potential rookies. Managers wouldnt lose too much motivation knowing there's a good young trainee coming up the following season and moreover, the transfer market would see some of its prices going down significantly. On top of it, it would give some hope to everyone that you wont get stuck in the same situation for 5 seasons in a row with an aging team while trying to save money and hope to land a 5m player.

Market has seen usp and downs, I remember 15 seasons ago that not-so-skilled PG-SF-PF (and even SG) would go for no less than 3m and no one was complaining. But there were 65k active managers! The simple fact that there are less managers means there are less players trained and it then becomes the normal law of supply and demand on the market. The only way to keep current managers motivation is to add more game-changer players into the game... Unless we get back to higher number of managers.
