Short term ambition or long term reason ???

What do you think about ?

Like Dartreb, i've also always been more of a long-term thinker, but so far it hasn't beared any fruits since i promoted to the BBBL.
And when i look at what AmenRa did three seasons ago, cfr. in the middle of season 32 he bought Totori and Undrits in just 2 days and spent approximately 7.5 million on these purchases. This short term thinking, has proven to be a golden choice for him, because this immediately made him the strongest team in the BBBL, and censequently he has won three BBBL titles in season 32, 33 and 34. It was a bold move by 65daysofstatic, and it certainly took guts to do that, but looking back now, it was a master move by him !
So when you evaluate just that, the balance weighs in favor of more shorter term thinking.
So honestly, i don't know anymore what is the best approach to take...as both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Nobody has talked about middle-term strategy 😀
According to the actual market prices you need to be competitive with low salaries. Otherwise the "drop" is just a matter of a few seasons...

Something that is true with current prices is that you have to focus on building you own players yourself.

They cost way too much, and in most cases you don't even find what you're looking for becuase it simply doesn't exist. If it does you can't afford the player anyway.

Problem is, I am whether too lazy or too messy in my training plans to find suitable players for training, meaning I'm stuck with training 2 players instead of 3, whereas Joe manages to do so e.g. So he'll always be 50 % more efficient than I am, and therefore more prone to success.

I'd add that if every team was training 2 to 3 players the tranfer list would look way better and the prices wouldn't be that high.

first off:

Congratulations to Amenra. winning without HCA is hard!

but now let me adress Jona:

Jona, we all know you love silverware, but for the love of god, please learn that the word silverware means cups. it doesn't have to be a Silver cup each time!

tbf, BB is like a game of Poker. you need to take risks with a lesser hand to beat the best hand. and sometimes things just go your way. but hey, you nearly got the unanimous MVP vote! in that regard, you are the winner of last season! cause you have 2 trophies where as Amenra & Steamrollers only have 1!

regards

GM-Az

ps: Jona, i'm amazed about how you can see the funny side in this. i know several managers who would have quite the game by know after all the set backs they had... Jona, you are a real competitor and i hope to see you around when i come back to the BBBL (yes i will be comming back! just you guy's wait and see!)

Yes, but good trainers also cost a fortune and to buy younger players with good training prospects are way to expensive....
