We got an 11 point win over Singapore today to move to 2-0 in the group! Our 60-49 win was fueled by double-digit scoring efforts from Nagashima(15 points), Kuramoto(14 points), and Sakuma(12 points). Nagashima also pulled down 23 rebounds!

We are now 2-0 in the group and 2nd in the standings. We will next face powerhouse China and try to keep it as close as we can for Point Differential.

What a jump! We are now ranked 49 with 163.9 ranking points. Those are season increases of 19 and 53.

We are also 7th among Asia nations behind China, Hong Kong, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Lost to China by 48, but that was expected. Sakuma scored 27 as we ran French Patient, but their bigs, and entire team, were too much for us anyway. We are now 2-1 and play the other 2-1 teams to close out the season. We need wins over them both to advance.

We beat Hong Kong 95-68 to improve to 3-1 in the second group! This is now the most wins for Nippon ever in the second group, Continentals, or a single season. Sakuma was the absolute man for us, pouring in 65 points and hitting 10 3s.

We will next face Malaysia. They beat us in the first group 82-68 but did use more enthusiasm to do it. We advance with a win, or with a loss and a better PD than Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Thanks! A win would be a nice way to end the group, but even if we lose by less than 31 we will be in the Repechage either way because our chances are roughly 0.3% to win in the Semifinals if we make. Still, been a great season!

Congratulations for the win against Malaysia! We didn't play our best lineup but we didn't give the game away neither. You just won the first ever trophy for a Japanese U21 team, it's a great feeling to see history in the making. Congratulations!

A couple days late on this, but just as Nico4nicolas said, we got a 95-81 win over Malaysia to take 2nd in the group and earn a place in the Asia Semifinals for the first time in history. Their TIE helped, but our players still had to win the game after we played CT on Hong Kong last week.

As far as rankings go, we are now ranked 38 with 206.9 Ranking Points. Those are season increases of 30 and 95.2.

We will face Australia in the Semifinals and should have no problem losing by 30+, but it is still great to have Nippon represented at a time when only 16 U21 in the world teams are still playing.
