If you haven't noticed... from the moment the new BBs were instated... Many features were added... that from the latest news and Site events... we can only tell they are just getting started.

So you assumed I am a noob and I assumed that all your links are claptrap. Now you throw at me a bunch of meaningless numbers ... our relation hasn't started well.

Maybe I should try to explain why more information is needed.

Let's talk about degrees of freedom. Or better let's talk about systems of equations.
If you have three variables and three equations, you can in general precisely determine the values.
If you have four variables and three equations, well, you use a variable as a parameter and see how well your model works.
But in BB you have hundreds of variables. Each player has 14 skills. Then you have the team variables, the tactics... even if your team is playing, the value of half of them are unknown. Then of course you have randomness (with everything equal, a shot can go in or out).
And you have to try to guess things from a few team ratings and stark reports.

That task is intractable.

If we want to guess something about the game engine, even partial or inacurate, we need some guidance from the BBs that know the code. That guidance can stimulate further research. At least it can stimulate curiosity. Because right now, and I mean at the part of the managers, the game is stagnated.

This site helped me to calculate Average Ball Possessions per Position per Offensensive Tactics from the image link I post above https://www.basketball-reference.com/about/glossary.html by using the formulas here you can make a tool that can tailor-fit for your personal need.
Using the hints you can get from Games Box Scores hope you can help yourself and us. Coz I do believe BBs/Developers would reveal game formulas to us... But just like from the first reply I post for you... they can only describe how basic work is.

Any information that the BB/Devs will share to us about the GE... I would also like to see if that would be possible.

No need for Mathematics. The message is: If what you don't know is much bigger than what you know, it is hopeless to try to guess what you don't know from what you know. You need external help to figure things out.

No you dont. U just need to observe closely. U dont need mathematical analysis and coach parrot to tell you that inside tactics are still the king of BB. 2 out of 3 teams in buzzerbeater best play inside tactics. If u build an all round team like many managers have, look inside or low post are far more reliable than any other tactic. It is simply how the GE works right now. You draw more fouls and the success rate of inside shots are nearly 10 % better than outside even with the new engine that favors 3pointers a bit better

I love it when mediocre or plainly crappy managers tell me that the game is very easy to understand and you only need to look at box scores.

Dude. I ve been playing the game since season 11 with one small break. You obviously think otherwise about the game and it is ok, whatever works for you:) . You can rely on Coach parrot statistics and mathematical analysis all you want but there are some factors in the game which,at least for me, are simply undeniable. Have fun

The game is now full of managers that just want to repeat again and again the same shit. Not using the brain at all.

Do BBs want to revitalize the game? They have to give some food to our brains. Some new information about the game engine that make us think. Try new studies. Bring new ideas to the forums...
