I mean is the MVP of each league in BB.
I noticed that the player rating may not determine who is the MVP.

What criteria ( if any) "calculate" the MVP in the league? ( I understand it is done by the bot)

I'd say a combination of the player's efficiency and his team's record

Who vote for the MVP?

I agree with this question ^^
Why « 32 » votes ??

I doubt team record has anything to do with it. Getting relegated this season with the 4th worst record of the league and my player picked up 22/32 first place votes. It should be more or less like the All Star roster selection, where efficiency is everything.

I can assure you that team's record has a huge impact on this vote.
Your example just shows that the domination of a 80k$ salary player over 5k$ players was strong enough to win this vote. It doesn't mean team's record doesn't count

I tried modeling it a bit this season based on past data and it looks like while team record does matter a bit it also takes into account point differential. So if a team has a poor record but a decent point differential they can still get the MVP.

I mean, it would help to "assure (me) that teams record has a huge impact on this vote" by actually showing me proof rather than take your word for it and rejecting my example when you have nothing to back up your claims. The only reason why you probably think game record matters is because your players performed so much better than the other players in Pro A that the best team in the league has the MVP. But if game record actually had such a "huge impact" like you claim, shouldn't my player not be the MVP? Why is the star player from a 15-7 team (third best game record, behind on point difference) who is #2 on the scoring charts and #9 on the rebounding charts not even in the top 5? To be fair he just earns 6k. But those in front of him earn less, and are from teams with worse records than his team.

I don't mean to doubt you, but it would be great if you actually had some concrete proof.

Interesting point. My point difference is actually 7th in the league, so I guess that might hold some truth to it. But further down the chart at second place is a player from a team with -109 PD (12th in PD and 9th in game record), while the 6th placed player actually comes from a team with the second highest PD (tied 2nd in game record but 3rd due to PD), and is 2nd on the scoring charts and 9th in the rebounding charts himself. So it doesn't really tally here.

You're using one observation of MVP voting and drawing these conclusions haha. PD is only a part of the calculation (although by my estimate it is one of the most important). Obviously other things like efficiency, ratings, and just overall boxscore stats make an impact as well.

I agree that the voting isn't very good right now, but don't draw your conclusions based on one vote. Point differential and record are definitely taken in account.

If you want a bit more proof, I took the last 30 seasons of my leagues MVP voting data (not that much really, but more than one season) and used a machine learning model to try and predict this seasons MVP. It turned out decently accurate as it had all of the top 5 in its top 8 projected. The model ranked PD as the most important in determining MVP followed by rating, some scoring stats and games played.

While the model definitely wasn't perfect, I think it gives a little more insight then just looking at your leagues MVP from one season.
