Division II.3
Team Nook had to battle hard to clinch the division II title as they conceded over 100 points for only the 4th time this season in all competitions.

SG Yip Ka yiu scored 42 points and hit 10 3 pointers in what could be his final game for Team Nook in a fitting way to close his book career. PF Tomas Budzius followed up his monster game 1 performance with a 16 point, 15 rebound double double in the win.

Nutwood Nets battled hard but couldn’t overturn a poor first quarter performance as PF Morten Andersen returned from injury to contribute 19 points and 10 rebounds. SF Andrzej Pietowski scored 30 points on 17 shots but it was t enough to outplay Yip Ka yiu.

Team Nook completed the unbeaten season going 22-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs and win promotion to the EBBL for the first time in franchise history.

(Can I congratulate myself? That feels a little awkward haha)

Division II.4
Gauson we’re able to keep their underdog run alive after a 109-97 win over St Purple & Greens to force a game 3.

St Purple & Greens struggled with foul trouble throughout the game and the extra free throws proved crucial for Gauson as they were +10 in free throws made and won the game by 12 points.

PG Miguel Hayos continued his impressive playoff performances as he scored 30 points in the game (averaging 28ppg in the playoffs). 4 other Gauson players also scored double figures. The Purple & Greens were led by their front court who combined for 73 points but they were unable to lead their team to victory.

An exciting game 3 is set up for tomorrow evening. St Purple & Greens do have the home court advantage which has proven so important in the playoff this season. However Gauson were able to build extra enthusiasm for the biggest game of their season.

Good luck to both teams

Just wanted to payout a huge respect to letsandrew19. They are a great manager and they have a fantastic team and great season. It is hard in the finals and three games although great to see harder to take as well. Wish you all the best and hopefully promotion as well due to your season result.

We saw 2 big game 3s tonight with EBBL promotion up for grabs.

Division II.2
A 33-15 4th quarter won Roaring Lions the division II.2 title as they beat MexicanTaxiDriver 102-90 in game 3. SG Govardhan Sengupta hit 14-14 free throws on his way to 26 points. Simon Redding also added 24 points in the victory. PF Cristino Caulers had a 24 point, 10 rebound double double but the Roaring Lions star power proved to be too much.

Congratulations to both coaches as Roaring Lions win promotion to the EBBL by winning the title, but with the best record not to win a title, MexicanTaxiDriver also earn promotion. Galaxy Walkers are the team that has now lost out on promotion.

Division II.4
A game winning dunk by PF Clint Franks gave St Purple & Greens a historic win and promotion to the EBBL for the first time in their history.

A closely battled 4th quarter came to a climax with Miguel Hayos hitting a 3 pointer with 50 seconds to go to tie the game before Clint Franks scored a layup to regain the lead for the Purple & Greens. Hayos was able to then tie the game once more with a shot from the top of the key with 4 seconds to go. The St Purple & Greens coach opted not to call a time out, but it paid off as Franks ploughed his way to basket and score a dunk on the buzzer to win the game!

Congratulations to Retrolego on winning promotion to the EBBL. Unlucky to hono who battled as the 4th seed to come 2 points away from winning the title.

I’d also like to add, commiserations to testudo and his team Isca Centurians who were leading in the game 3 but saw both their highest salary players go down injured in the game and went on to lose. That is some really bad luck! Also thank you for reporting on the division III leagues. It’s great to see a new manager excited about the game!
