Second Team:
Actually a great training facility
Two team still train 12, not 6. While it is the case now, that's one of teh reasons you can't buy your players between teams (mostly to prevent cheating).

This would be a massive pay2win, because you could train the same guy in 1on1 for a couple of seasons in Utopia, then send him back to your first team.

I believe training adds complexity with sacrifices to the game and this suggestion takes it away.

To clarify: i have -300k in main team, but 3.4kk in Utopia.

I draft a player, send him to Utopia to train with 7/7 coaches, and send him back while still being broke in first team

I said 6 players each team.

As I said there can be rules put in place to mitigate any overwhelming advantage. Player can't participate in playoffs that season, or in the main team. This will make it that teams will use it purely for training players.

The whole premise is to treat the 2nd team as a development league (G-League). I really don't see the overwhelming advantage or "Pay 2 win" aspect you're talking about.

believe training adds complexity with sacrifices to the game and this suggestion takes it away.

There's a lot of talk about how training players is expensive and becoming harder and harder to see benefits. Let's be real, with the current market you can easily pickup div II and III players for peanuts. So I believe we should be open to suggestions like mine (even if my suggestion is not taken).

I don't really think this is a good idea.
But if you would do it I think the main team needs to pay more like a development fee when the player is sent back which should be close to the amount that training him would have cost or the player would have cost if bought. But that might be hard to implement.

As I said before - if only Utopia users has this advantage it will be pay 2 win. You can flip it around all you want, it still pay 2 win. The only wqy this could be done (and I would love it) is if every user had the right to have second team for free

Just curious if you have ever wondered why you aren't able to buy players from your own Utopia team (and vice versa)? Could it possibly be because they wanted to prevent what you suggested here from happening?

Agreed somewhat. But with this suggestion you can put limits in place. And there would be no chance of transferring money between teams. I'd say that would have been the biggest factor in banning sales between 1st and 2nd teams, not the players themselves

It's good that you actually brought up money transferring. Because what's wrong with transferring money between two teams you own? It gives people with Utopia teams an advantage in finances over those without, right? It's no different from your suggestion really. It allows players to use real cash for a feeder team to boost their main team above those who don't spend money. That essentially makes it P2W.

But honestly speaking, I love the idea of a G-League or feeder team. Just that it shouldn't require Utopia teams or any paid features.

One way to achieve that is to actually have something similar to Hattrick's "Youth Academy" (since a lot of us "migrated" from Hattrick back in season 3 I'm assuming a lot of users should know about it). It's something like the gym and training court - a feature which requires weekly upkeep (that comes from your team's account, not your real world bank account). You can also join private leagues consisting of feeder teams (where winning just gives you bragging rights) with these feeder teams, and training will come from those minutes. You still need to pay the salary of all the players in there (and maybe even recruit the team yourself, unless having a default 5 man roster when you set up the feeder team is a good idea), but you're free to transfer them in and out just like between the NBA and the G-League.

This not only allows you to keep your pirzed trainees (and train them), you can also ensure your 60-70 year old players get game time, and those who don't have small rosters can keep the rest of their players' game shapes up during the allstar week (and people might no longer keep suggesting about paying 50% salary that week).

Great suggestion! Perhaps I was too hung up on the idea of 2nd teams as it was already implemented and wouldn't require too much addition to the actual site itself.

I like where this is going

Did you want to create a new suggestion thread with this Idea? I believe it will get more traction then being a part of this one
