Once again the boss is right. Selling him when he's 31 or 32 won't change anything to the selling price, but when he turns 33 the downs start to appear ...

I sold Vaes for 3.3 M, 2 or 3 weeks later he got - 2 outside defense, turning a potent NT player into a mere BBBL material. Another drop like that and he wasn't good enough for BBBL anymore.

However, a staff member with the right spec can delay / reduce this downfall.

As Joe said the main reason I was selling them now was the sick market, I only had 2 million cash and for that money it's nowadays hard to find a decent player. And I didn't need to find one player but 1 other starting guard, 1 replacement for the guards and one player which is capable replacing Monnens&Sloovere. Plus my other guys were already pretty old 33, 34, 32 and 33 so I would have needed to rebuild sooner or later.

Why now and not last season or at the end of this season?
Well I was expecting the market to calm down a bit but it didn't happen plus I wanted to try to stay at least 2 seasons in BBBL. Why I sell them now? Currently I lacked one guard, I had a 7k guard as replacement... so my relegation was already pretty sure, plus the other teams had already +2 wins on me. The other reason is money :P , I can fire my coach and doctor plus I get +- 100k more each week because I am under the salary cap now, so i will make a lot of money unbtil the rest of the season.

Letting go Sloovere made me kind of sad at the end, I trained him since I started with this team. Sloovere and Monnens were my franchise guys, I hope I can acquire them back once they are 38-40 years and retire them with my team :)

I hope I will get a decent draftee, but for my future project I will need a HoF at least. If I don't get one I hope to find a Belgian rookie in the transfermarket (I guess with +-15 million cash this should be doable :D) I will train a second player with him and I still don't know what I should take, maybe another Belgium player or even a french one, because I would like to know more about their training plans, they seem to have optimised training, I have seen some players at age 24 that were already advanced a lot + I saw one 26 year old french NT player and his salary was cheap for his skillset. Maybe I can use this wisdom later in our NT program

P.S. How do you guys like the new details/skin in BB?

Come on Eagle, you come normal me on my ground starting with a 4k SF and a 7k PF ?? I know my team is far from being as threatening as it used to be, but this was seriously optimistic. Or did you forget to TIE ? xD

I might have dropped today if I had played at full strength in TumaSStars, but I knew I couldn't win there and saved forces for home and Cup game (and with Nat playing subs tonight, looks like we have a deadly game coming up - I am not particularly happy to face Neudt and Minwei ...), so you should have expected me to come at full strength.

I must admit i misjudged that game.
I did not forget to play TIE, but actually i was hoping you would put more of a b-team against me, so you could save all or most of your best players for your cup game against Providence. But i missed the fact that you didn't put any of your best players against TumaSStars.
Ofcourse, i'm wel aware i can't win against your team with the lineup i put in against you. I was just hoping you would at least put 3 b-players in your team against me, that's all. I was counting on the fact that you would try to avoid making too many minutes with your best players, so their GS would stay strong for weeks after. But still , with only around 30 minutes played now, you can still put your best team against Providence and don't have to worry about their GS.
Like i said a miscalculation on my part.

Knowing before our game what i know now, i still would have put the same line-up, but i would have played TIE instead of normal.

But still , i'm not sad because of it, my main goal this season is maximum training for my trainees. My goal this season is mainly training, and winning just enough to stay in the BBBL. So in that regard, this season is my first BBBL season where i use a different approach, since all the other seasons i'vee been trying to win as much games as possible.
Believe me when i say, that the best years of the RSC Eagles are still to come...

Okay, I might have put half a team in both Tumasstars and Eagles' game but I noticed that TumaSStars took very little risks at home and would taken a deafeat unless, maybe, if I played full strength ... So it didn't make sens to me.

Training will make you win games, where it is important to be accurate, is when synchronizing the moment where your trainees are at their best and the players you bought on the other spots also are ...

As you know I was looking for a lvl 6 coach with an average salary, quickly I was confronted with ridiculous prices (2 million for a 23k salary), however this morning I tried my luck and was successful, at 5:45 this morning I woke up to make a bid on a lvl 6 25k salary trainer. It seemed like no one was online , because I only had to overbid the current bid and got him for 1,149 million. so my advise to anyone who is looking for a coach wake up at night :P

In normal circumstances, then yes, the price is high, but in current crazy market circumstances, where heavy prices seem to have become the norm, you have actually acquired a very good trainer for a very good price. And also very important, a trainer with a very good starting salary !

Joe,

I'd be really surprised if you can sell Beeusaert for the 2.5M you're asking, especially since he's already 34.
Seems a bit too much, even in this market.
However, i think 2M is doable.
