Thank you! Great start to the season and it does put us in a good position for the rest of the season. Georgia look pretty strong next week so I'm not guaranteeing anything yet

Game 2 of the season saw us face another difficult test against Georgia who are a lot stronger than their rank suggests.

Georgia led for most of the game although not being able to pull away at any point other than the start of the 3rd quarter. England battled back to take a 1 point lead in to the final period. The 4th quarter continued as the quarters before with neither team being able to take control. A jump shot from SG Amarsari Singh have England a 1 point lead with 27 seconds to go. This was followed by a strong defensive effort from SF Kirby Yarwood to force a Georgian miss. The England youth showed great composure at the free throw line to see out the game and a 110-103 win.

Jonathan Hendriks and Amarsari Singh joint top scored with 25 points each, with Hendriks adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists and Singh grabbing 4 boards and getting 4 assists. Singh’s defensive skill also on show as he held the Georgian SG to a combined 5-19 shooting. C Elvin Goodhew shot 6-6 FG on his way to 13 points to go with his 9 rebounds. SF Kirby Yarwood had another strong all round game with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

England next face Andorra who have forfeited both of their first 2 games.

Maybe off topic - but about out next game Andorra . Why people taking NT and just doing ff and destroys all fun and NT system? Strange I believe it’s gonna be another ff, but its not fun.

My kind of game: 51 fouls. Singh, Hendricks and Yarwood hitting most of theirs helped us win. Singh gets my vote for reasons testudo has already given, plus he only turned the ball over once.

A lot of free throws, also a lot of missed free throws! Thankfully we were able to make more free throws than them.

Singh had a great game! Hopefully we get more performances like that from him throughout the season

I’ve been an advocate of scrapping the 50-0 when a team decides to forfeit. In competitions such as the consolation tournament or B3/BBM, PD can make a massive difference to whether a team qualifies or not. And you’re right.. it takes the fun out of it.

I guess the issue is, what is the solution? The game can't be played so you can't put a fair score together with out a game. It has to be a set score. You can't make the score too high as it would disadvantage the teams that don't play against a forfeit, can't make it too low as it would disadvantage teams that do play against a forfeit. I feel that the teams that forfeit would generally lose by more than 50 points if they played the game (as they are mostly weaker teams) but it's impossible to say exactly how much a team would win by if the game was played.
