Trainer level does not influence specialty(career extension) in older players (> 32) but level will help minimize skills drop points even for older players.

I think that Raymund meant that, only if you train a 32+ player, the level of the trainer influence the drop speed.

I think he stated that the higher the age the higher level trainer with career extension you need and it doesn't conflict with notion that specialties doesn't have levels. Am I right?

And I don't think it's dumb to train 32+, I would like to have player like Jason Kidd who can play high level until he is 40 with high experience.

His statement was fairly ambiguous and i don't think he will rephrase:)

It contradicts the stated rule that "the level of the staff member does not impact the effectiveness of the specialty" if we are talking about slowing the drops.

I did not conradict the statement of GM-Perpete and in fact I did strengthen it.
I did not say that the higher the age, the higher level trainer with career extension you need.

I used the word "minimize" because aside from the random factor in computing training skills, the trainer level is included as training factor in computing the drop in older players.

So, the trainer with career extension specialty might stop(25% chance since there's the usual random factor) the drop for older players and if ever there's a skill drop, the trainer level will minimize the drop (for illustriation purposes: instead of 10.0 going to 9.0, the new skill level might be 9.1 for lower level trainers or 9.2 for higher level trainers)

With that, "the level of the staff member does not impact the effectiveness of the specialty" since specialty is computed first with a random thing.

Ok thanks for clarification but still I don't understand one thing do you actually have to train I mean play in training position 48+min. that old player to minimize skill drop or all my old players automatically gets effect from career extension specialty?

It took me some time to figure your post.

One factor in the drop calculation is the trainer level. The higher the level, the lesser the drop.
After the possible drop is calculated, the career extension specialty offers a chance to cancel the drop out.

Is it correct ?

It would work like the taping injuries specialty then when an injured player has it cancelled by the specialist bonus.

From my previous post:

With that, "the level of the staff member does not impact the effectiveness of the specialty" since specialty is computed first with a random thing.

For illustriation purposes only and computations are not precise:
Let's say you have a 33-old player with rebounding at level 10(let's just talk with one skill).

Two scenarios:
1. With your career extension trainer: there's a chance that he will not have a drop and retain his skills level but if you're not lucky enough your player will drop from 10.0 to 9.0.
Afterwards, training module will compute for training factor which includes: age, skills, trainer level, etc.., With that computation he can have 9.1 instead of just 9.0. The effect of the trainer level is to minimize the drop. The higher the trainer level, the higher the training factor is.

2. With no career extension trainer: surely your old player will have a skills drop unless the random thing gives you a lucky week.
