I just promoted up from D.V and i had done some research to see what to expect at the next level. From what Ive seen, mine seems to be a really tough D. IV!! How does this compare to some D. IVs that you guys are in?

Also I was wondering if they promote you into tougher or weaker leagues based on your teams strength. With my current team, I have seen D. IVs where I would compete for a 2 or 3 seed. Does the game take this into account when promoting?

Pretty sure strength isn't considered and promotion is just random :) Good luck this season

When I promoted into my current D4 league in season 17, my league was ranked as the 1st or 2nd hardest D4 league in the US. What you want to do is sell or fire the players that won't help you at this level, buy better players that will help you survive in your league, and since you do have a 17k and 14k SG, 15k PF, you should be alright IMO. What offense do you run? That can also play a factor in your success. Good luck, Lealster, I am sure you will do fine in your league.

I run Push the Ball. Ive never been one to run an inside or outside oriented offense. I understand the tactical advantages, but I like the fact that my scoring comes from multiple places, and there is no tactic to defend balance and depth.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I have just been promoted also but figure that i will be able to beat some of the competition with my current line-up with some minor changes i will compete and stay around. I think it is always a challenge to see how you can fair against better managed teams with Tough line-ups.
GL Lealster!!!

Bet you wish you were back in IV.36 right now don't you? hahaha. Look at it in a positive light, you probably will have a larger TV contract then some other leagues. lol

I thought the smae thing my first year in D4 but realized many of hte teams are mismanaged and you should be able to make the playoffs your first year, especially with your roster.

I agree. And almost all of the teams in this league are mimanaged. I was a game away from promoting again my first season, but I thought I had to play playoff crunchtime, while the finals man from the other division had two small( one1-point) victories playing playoff normal and the enthusiasm gap was too much to overcome.

To the OP, as I said in the league forum, as long as you pay attention to your team, you should make the playoffs pretty easily.

My D.IV is tough. I was expecting to lose by ALOT. Lost my first game because I was away, and My "Most Experienced" Center fouled them with 0:00 secs left Total fail, but the second game was well played. Most games played away, 3 of five games (Including Scrim&TOurney) were away. Anyways,.D.IV 18 for ya.
