Perhaps the biggest upset so far in this young season happened in one of the very first games--when the Sacramento Monarchs upended Cookie United--defending their home court in the process. In the Big 8 Division of the Conference, it seems like Hollywood Heart Throbs as well as the Sacramento Monarchs are the early front runners to the Division Crown--but Hollywood has yet to be tested by one of the Big Four--Cookie United, Hollywood, Sacramento, or Old School Running Rebs. Hollywood will have to wait until they are tested to see whether they are a legitimate contender for first or not. Cookie United faced the toughest opening schedule, as they had to face two of the better teams in the conference--in the Monarchs and the Running Rebs--and they bounced back from a shock defeat to beat the Running Rebs by 19. In the Great 8, look for the Whizards and the Detroit Gangsters to control the top two slots, and for Thunder Strike to finish Third.
