Glad to be here!

I've played buzzerbeater twice in the past, but life always seems to get in the way. Maybe this time I'll make it to the NBBA. Catch you guys on the court!

I'm hoping for the same. I've not done this before.

Well, I'd love to see you all on the court, but I just got relegated, so... Good luck!

But now, you get to start your new season completely fresh. That's how I look at it. Besides, I'm tired of getting killed every game. Ready for a little competition that is more down on my level.

There are two important things in the Buzzerbeater world in terms of improving your squad.
Income and Training

Income:

Try to keep your player's salaries as close to the Player Salaries Floor as possible without going under
Think of the Salary Floor as a minimum salary cap. It's going to be taken out anyway. In our league its
$55,025 so you want to keep your player salaries at that. Most likely you have to get rid of a player or two
depending on your players and their salaries. To see all this just click on the Economy tab in the Manage
My Team page

Best way to increase your income is to increase the size of your arena. I'd start with the Lower Tier and
Courtside seats since these are the seats that will stay 90-100% percent full no matter if you start 12-0
or 0-12. The Luxury Seats always stay full but in season#1 the goal is to accumulate money and the Luxury
Seats to me are not worth the money and the time that goes into building them. You have to go all
massive when you expand. Just expand by 5-10 seats when you can. Bleachers are the second thing you
try to increase because they are cheap but the fans are fickle when you're losing you'll notice they'll stop
attending and they are the most pickly about ticket prices. It doesn't take much to go from 4000 bleacher
fans showing to 2000

Also keep track of your staff. Once their salary reach 25-30 grand, find a replacement for cheaper

Now we get to the second most important thing: Training

If you are going to spend money spend it on a trainer, a good quality trainer (advanced on up) will cause
your players to spike in skills much faster than a lower tier one.

Try to get your core players at leat 48 minutes of playing time a week, this way they have the maximum
chance of spiking. Also after your elimination from the Cup schedule as many scrimmages as possible
and use them to give your bench playing time so they get training hours in. The Cup is a nice thing to win
but rarely has a first time team won it so use it mainly to get training hours in. By season's end you'll
find your bench depth is better and you'll have a better squad going into season#2

Now what to train depends on your squad, but me I'd go for defensive training the first few weeks of the
season. Inside Defense for your bigs and Outside Defense for your Guards and Small Forwards. Also
train for a particular skill for at least 2 weeks before switchng to another

Oh one important thing: ignore the best position label. If you have a 6'8" center, don't hesitate to play him
at Small Forward if your "true" Small Forwards are lacking height likewise if you have a Small Forward who is ridiculous
in terms of Jump Shooting, Jump Range, Handling and Passing, don't hesitate to put him in the point spot if he's better
than your "true" point guards in those things

Okay hopes this helps, I remember my first season and unfortunately the guys in my league weren't as kind
Good luck

Best of luck. Don't mind asking for a scrimage if you need one
