Don't wish - Do!! If you want something make stuff happen. Let me ask you - how long do you plan to be in Div II - Is your strategy to draft & train or would you buy your team into Div I ? Do you also think that teams in this division must border on bankruptcy just to sustain a equal chance of promoting??

lol i think im gonna try to stay afloat in Division II...my teams way too old..ill have to fix that sometime soon. i think that arena size corelates with promotion chances and if you have <15000 arena, it would be tough to stay afloat or to promote.

so, i have a question in response. how have the dynamics of this league changed from seasons past?

Arena size - my biggest mistake, I stayed too small for way too long. I invested in players trying to get promoted quickly. That worked till I got to Div II. Now I'm stuck here, if I am lucky, until further notice and my team has gotten old, way older, in the meantime trying to pick up players who would help me stay competitive. Catch 22!!!

As for the dynamics, every season there are a new set of teams joining, this year the Div I relegated team is rather weak having two monsters & a bunch of who dem players. This should be an opportunity for others who want top prize. Unless, someone goes on a buying fit. Last season the Div I relegated team was strong & won the division.

Yeah I'm nervous that the 125k salary player I bought might have been the wrong choice and maybe I should have expanded my arena first. He did raise my merchandise levels tho :D

Anybody have any takes on Mighty Ballers' start to the season? Do you guys think he'll keep it up?

That was my mistake. I bought a player with a salary like that to try and stay in Div II in Season 18 after a bad season and a half, and trying to hold on to him to promote again it caused me massive financial hardships and it took me four seasons to recover.

It was doubly hard because I had made the playoffs almost every season since Season 2 - and even now I'm not as competitive as I would like. So I'm going a little more slowly, training players up and saving to buy one more young, solid player at a decent salary level.

IIRC the asterisk means that the user hasn't logged in for several weeks...? I'm wondering if he's gone...?

no the asterisk means that he forfeited a game. that makes me believe that hes gonna tank for the whole season and not just a part of it because the asterisk has some big consequences. Last season, I forgot to set my lineup for one game and it was difference between having HCA for entire playoffs and not having HCA for entire playoffs.

That forfeit was unbelievably unfair to the Pugs - it cost him 50 points or more in point differential.
He has lost to every team in the division by about 100 points but the forfeit was only worth +50
better than last season when it was worth +25, still...killer in tiebreak situations

I already sent an apology to Pugs personally on the same night that I forgot to set my line up. Life is very busy so I have no choice but to slowly rebulild for future. Good luck everyone...
