Winners BC vs. The Big Green. Thursday, May 22 at 7:00pm EST.

The last 2 teams standing in the national tournament from league III.4 will square off against each other. Both teams have made it to the top 32 in the country, 1 team will advance as a top 16 team in the country.

I am pleased that I have made it this far in only my first full season of managing. I am also extremely pleased at my league standing at 10 - 3 and first in my conference in only my first full season of managing.

My next league game is against the undefeated Bright Shadow. I believe my tactical strength with my high enthusiasm can help me win that game. But in order to win, I have to preserve game shape. If I play full strength vs TBG in the tournament, my game shape for next week will suffer and I will have no chance to win.

I am still thinking long and hard if I will forfeit my match against TBG and have a chance at beating Bright Shadow (improves my chance at qualifying for League 2 next season) or if I should go all in against TBG and advance to the Top 16.

I am still weighing in the options, and I truly still haven't decided. In this game you have to give up something, to get something. You can't win everything. But I WILL win 1 of those 2 games! Just got to pick my poison!

Great job for first full season in managing! I trust you will make a good decision, but don't believe you have a tactical advantage, i also do my fair share of research in opponents.

Bro, Sometimes people just have good teams. Hard work and good management, and also a little luck in the draw. Even I made top 32 in 1st full season. No hacking, i can promise you that for both situations here.

ALL STAR RECAP

3pt contest winner DAN STEVENS

ALL STAR GAME MVP (personal opinion) DAN STEVENS

Once again the Big 8 beat the Great 8. With a outstanding performance by Dan Stevens,47pts- the great 8 did not have many answers for that. There were also good point contributions on the Big 8 from Michelangelo and Bosko who combined for 61pts. Edmund and Andron dominated the boards with 29 total rebounds. Bosko led the game with 10 assists. A good effort from the great 8 who had 4 blocks from Josue who also chipped in 36pts.

You dont believe I have a tactical advantage against you, TBG, or both?

Just like you, i research a bit as well. The thing with my team, no one would think I have a chance, because my whole teams salary is $80 000. more than a couple individual players in our league make more than that. But I have really thought out the development of my team, and the fact is my team is so versatile. I can play fast pace or slow pace, inside, out or normal, all just as good. Im also very tricky with my positional defending. I put teams' best defenders on my least offensive player. I put my best defender on teams' best offensive player.

Its not a secret, I dont mind giving that information out. But dont count me out, I can win games.

Look at what happened last season, the 3rd best team in the weaker conference ended up winning the season and qualifying. All he did was make a couple hefty purchases at the end of the year. I have money saved up, If I believe I can qualify this year, I will make those purchases and make this season interesting. If not, I will put the money towards my arena and wait for next year!

I believe in tactical advantage no one really has an "advantage" because both my team and the TBG and your team all use alot of tactics. Your current team has a very similar build too my team last season, i am not underestimating your team based on salary because my team at one point was also very low and i still managed to win lots of games, even made the finals just like you might. i also have quite abit of depth on my team allowing me to play many tactics.

If you are think that i am underestimating you, don't worry i am not, i was in a similar situation as you were recently, (low player salary and near the top in my division)

last year with clodhoppers they were an exception, they had about 7mill in the bank and could buy nearly any player they wanted, i researched abit and it looks as if you have had a total of $595,863 income this year (not including $ from last season) but with that money you could still buy a finals team if you make the right purchases.

Also how do you determine who a teams best defensive player is? i know you can determine the best offensive player by fg% and pts avg, for defensive player i look at stats like stl/blk or look at the amount of pts/fg% of the player they were defending in that game? how do you do it?

Hey, sorry if my post had a negative tone in it. I didn't mean it. I didnt think you would be underestimating me. You had a low salary last season, but you continue to have relatively low salaries on your team compared to what you accomplished this season. You dont have 1 80 000 dollar player. You have salary very evenly spread.

How do i determine the best defensive player? combination of salary, ppg + fg%, and opponents points & fg%. But I only analyze this much on important matches. I dont analyze every match, I dont have time for it. But for example. If I see guards on a team, a PG & a SG. one is averaging 20 ppg, one is averaging 12 ppg and there salaries are relatively equal. I look at previous games played. I look at the opposing teams PG & SG and look at the fg% and points scored by those players. This depends on a lot of facors such as style of play of opposition etc... BUT USUALLY, the player with the higher defense can be identified by the following

A) his salary is composed of high outside defense. thus his offense must be low and his offensive output must be low
B) opponents fg% is generally low for that specific position.
