My starting lineup from a recent game was completely ignored. Yes, I used "Strictly Follow Depth Chart"
Have never seen anything this bad before.

My submitted starting lineup (verified with "Load Former Match Tactics")
PG: Xiaoguo
SG: Albano
SF: Niski
PF: Terranova
C: Schadl

The Actual Lineup Used:
PG T. Dozier
SG V. Terranova
SF H. Xiaoguo
PF M. Mannazzu
C T. Schadl

Box score: (72236124)
Play by play: (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/72236124/pbp.aspx)

Glaring Errors:
So, my starting SG Albano played only 4 minutes... at PG. My starting SF Niski played 9 minutes... at CENTER. My starting PF Terranova played 48 minutes at SG??? My backup center became a starter somehow, & played 35 minutes at PF. My starting PG Xiaoguo ended up starting at SF. And so on...

Seriously, what's going on with this??? This is beyond awful.

What's the point of even setting a lineup...?

You didn't leave backups and reserves blank right?

Everything was filled in: Starters, backups, reserves, defensive assignments.

I don't get why something to stop [blank lineups / let coach decide] would have any impact on my game though? Plus you'd think they'd at least have done some basic testing on it first. I mean, they give private leagues as a major reason to purchase supporter... they wouldn't be so careless as to completely break them, right?

Thanks for that link. But Marin never even replied to him, & it's been over a month. (on a tangent, wow that entire thread a mess from the very beginning!).

Anyway, I wish BB would at least communicate a little better.

you can confirm what the lineup was set as, by going to a future game, and from the top of the set lineup screen, choose "Load Former Match Tactics: "

and then pick the game that you think the lineup was wrong.

Was it actually set correctly there and then the GE picked something else? Or is it different?

So there are two things that i know cause the lineup to not set properly on that page.
- Web browser - Sometimes i find Firefox doesn't set it properly, especially if i have had the page open for a while.
- Mobile phone - setting lineups on mobile phones, is fraught with danger.

Another thing to check is your default lineup. Compare your default lineup with what the game selected. It may have been that the default lineup was set, which means you didn't set ur lineup correctly.

Unfortuantely these are things that I have also learnt the hard way. Sitting there thinking NO NO NO I SET IT CORRECTLY! but then when i check the Load former match tactics, it wasnt.

hope this helps.

Yeah, I verified it with "Load Former Match Tactics". (Double checked it several times... even did it again now.) Everything was filled out properly, but my choices were completely ignored. I know it seems impossible, but it really happened!

Compare your default lineup with what the game selected.
I double checked that too. Niski & Carod aren't part of my default lineup. And patient isn't my default tactic.

There's a problem with the empty lineup prevention code, it's a fact ;)

I guess so...

I believe I do have to apologize here. The empty lineup prevention code is definitely not yet ready and we're still testing it in private leagues for that exact reason. It is hard to get it right on the first try and a bug crept in which actually reshuffled the depth charts of both teams if *either* of them used an empty lineup. I guess I should have noticed this sooner, but it was crazy.
I'm sorry I affected your Private League score, but there was no other way, we couldn't test it in scrimmages as it would affect training minutes and I would probably end up killed after a bug like this one

Again, my sincere apologies to everyone affected. The cause of the bug should now be fixed and please let me know if it isn't.
