Wow, that is a wicked huge bid. My guess is that if he was Canadian it would have been more. I have pretty much given up shooting for Canadian players, they are seldom well trained and they are always pricey.

Kaimakis is available for $1.99million. I don't know what the other player looked like, but Kaimakis has potential to be a second tier Canadian NT player. People talk about there being a premium on Canadians, but I'm not seeing it.

The issue in lots of cases is that managers want young players (18 or 19). Unfortunately the overextension tax makes the middle aged players less interesting and desirable. It is much more beneficial to train a player from 18 than it is to polish off the skills of a 23 to 25 year old trainee.

I thought about buying him back but simply don't have room for him to be trained properly.

He'll go for around that price. Has to. As for why a Canadian team hasn't picked him up, it's probably because almost all Naismith teams have better SF already. Honestly looks like a deep position. Other teams probably want draftees.

For every Kaimakis or Bradshaw, there's a Hall, Gaudreault, Worley, Laurent, Sammons that go for extreme prices. Second-tier guys like Demers and Maja too. Recent guys like Desillets (sp), sobuza, Owen, Hackett and Arsenault. Probably way more. Consistently high prices.

I am surprised Kaimakis didnt sell either. Especially with removal of blank lineup a team will have to have 9-10 good players so salary efficiency becomes even more important. I think 2million is a far price and would pay that much for him but he is bit old considering that by the time I will contend again (realistically) he will be 32.

There are couple nice Canadian players on sale now in (27323931) , (23544708), and (18665337).

And no Luxury Tax since 10th October. And he drafter 2 18 year old HOF players....... both are good looking PF/C prospects

there is also this player: (34359405) 18yo MVP with 55 Top 10 skills, manager didnt login since 29th septembe. Unfortunately that was monday so instead of 3 weeks, its only 2 so we need to wait 4 more if I understand correctly in order to save him from retiring :/ thats probably 2-3 skill pops right there, but still worth saving in my opinion
