I actually used "Coach Picks from Depth Chart"... which I believed would mean the coach would choose who he saw as the best fit from the C second and third string options I set, (I assumed strictly following the DC meant he had to go with the second string over the third). But I guess it means the coach picks from anyone named on the depth chart anywhere... apparently BB coaches are not expected to know the difference between a PG and a C. I asked BB-Marin who simply said that is how CPfDC works.
The optimal play would have been slide everyone up a position PF to C, SF to PF, SG to SF and then plug in my back-up SG who was the next best player on my team.... that group of five did not get on the floor together until the actual final minute of the game when it was already well beyond reach.
I've been an active manager since season 14, and this was the first time I was genuinely angry about an outcome, but we live and we learn. like I said I am pretty happy with the draft this year.... getting a decent pick actually might have saved me from giving the game up.
