Tuesday night two heavyweights square off as Upsyndrome travels to play Eugene in what may be A-Dubs first real test of the season. Upsyndrome brings their squad of National Teamers and a $350K overall payroll advantage into this game. Anywhere else, Upsyndrome would be a heavy favorite, however, in BuzzerBeater HCA is the great equalizer giving lesser a team a chance to win on their on court. In this instance though, Eugene is hardly a "lesser team". They are one of the top teams in the country, and are sure to put up a huge fight and show how great they can be on their own court.

On paper, Ups advantage inside would seem overwhelming, but Eugene's front court is very formidable and payroll does not tell the whole story! With a win in this game, Eugene would secure HCA through the Great 8 side of the playoffs, and send a message that the road to the Finals will indeed go through Register-Guard County, and that would make Upsyndrome sweat a little bit looking ahead. However, a win by Ups, and they will all but lock up HCA in the Great 8, and pretty much punch their ticket to the Finals and another likely Championship!

A-Dub has his team in tip-top shape, and has moved beyond LI to make GDP much more of a guess than last season. i made a move on the TL that i am more or less happy with, but my squad simply isn't good enough -- we will collect our 20+ fouls, maybe hold Upsyndrome under 100 pts. but his shooting pct. will still be closer to 50% than 40%.

Nice write up, Jason. I definitely had an eye on this matchup in recent weeks. Competing for a US Cup title and perhaps being able to lock up 1st place in division, this is a very fortunate situation for my club to be in at this point of the season. It's nice having GS/enthusiasm advantage coming into a game like this. A lot of questions will be answered tomorrow night...it'll serve as a measuring stick for two top division teams battling for playoff position. It's an intriguing game to say the least.

Yeah. Pretty much you have nailed it. I have a guy that would fit right in on Shikago's roster. Let's see how this shakes out.
