Welcome to the new teams! Haven't had too much opportunity to scout everyone yet. The draft wasn't as deep as last season, but outside the top 2 players, wasn't really as strong either. That said, I actually goofed with selecting Nieves in the draft, but it ended up being a plus. I entered a 6 instead of a 5 on his OD on my spread sheet, which bumped him up to 53 instead of 52. I probably would have reordered him down a spot. But then he ended up being 18.

Looking forward to see what Elsworth can do starting at the 3 alongside Tomandao from day one.

I'm dumping Donnelly. Normally the kind of player I like to develop, but I've got Whitson, McWilliams, Bernstein and Polinario already that I'm working with.

New to the league here but it'll be fun to see what I can do with me young guys as I press the reset on my team last season and ended up back in this division.

Welcome to IV20 guys!! I hope you're a little more active on the message boards than this group of deadbeats ;-).
Anyone get any good draft picks? I should stop wasting my money because I've fired all of the last 3 seasons' picks. Maybe I should suck more lol.

I drafted a nice sixth man type player to put buckets for my second group.

Anybody have any issues with the fan boycott feature? My attendance is always a mystery to me.

I have not outside of the bitter rejection from fans after tough losses like last night's Cup defeat. :)

Although I have actively tanked to maximize income, I've only done it below the salary floor one time, and will still field a legitimate team. Just one not designed to compete but will still win some games.

I think one of the biggest mistakes new players make is spending their launch money, especially if your franchise is starting in the middle of a season. Selling any valuable players right away and flipping some of your younger guys can give you a good bankroll to buy better players for your second full season is the best way to get a good financial football.

Many managers will tell you to build your stadium in the early years too, to maximize your income when your team does start winning.

Your arena is your largest single source of income. A level 2 or 3 PR-Manager will help fill your seats too. But remember your attendance will grow slowly. This is a patience pays off game.
