All higher seeded teams except one were eliminated in the first round. Third seed in the Big 8 was always going to be dangerous as they defeated both the 1 and 2 seeded teams the very last time they played. And this time the 3 seed defeated the 2 seed. In the Great 8 the 4 seed defeated the team favored to make the finals and have a good shot at winning it all, the one seed. Then the 3 seed defeated the two seed.
The one seed in the Big 8 lost their time, but they put together a great team with only 2 players from the original team, to finish the season on a tear. The entire team was sold away near the end of the season but the new GM has made this team stronger than ever. They dismantled their first round opponent by 97 points. They are the only home team/higher seeded team to win in game 1. Next up, the 3 seed in the Big 8. The last team to defeat the Hustlas, and it was the old team, not the new team and new players. Should be a great matchup.
