Also, on a totally unrelated note, is it me or does our league almost have a division 4 talent level? At least in my conference, there are only two teams who I'm contending with.

Perhaps yes, but so far from my experience in DIII I’ve seen lots of competition from teams with HIGH salary rosters. There aren’t many of those at the moment. I think your experience too testifies to how weak our league is right now. Maybe this will change.
