In case you missed it, Puff Puff Pass won the league title coming from a 3rd place finish and a 15-7 regular season record.
This shows how competitive this league is, and should give any team hope should they hit a rough patch during the season.

Good luck, and have fun!

I almost knocked him off in the semis. My best player got hurt at the end of the first quarter He already had 10 points. Welcome to the new teams. Hoping for a fun and competitive season. Don't be afraid to be active in the forums.

Don't mind me folks... just passing through before heading back up with a new set of trainees.

Hope you all stay injury-free and good luck this season!

Kurgans, your logo and banner look sick. I've fought with this thing for hours to get my logo up but it never seems to work.

Hey Yohnst...how do you train young players and still stay in leagues III, II and NBBA? Help a brother out! I struggle to stay out of IV...

This is a loaded question.

Despite what anyone might tell you this is a money game. So I've had two objectives every season... either promote or demote (staying in the middle is the worst spot to be) and be training one or more players to sell for a large profit after I move up the ladder with them.

The demotion cycle is to scout and draft a trainee or draft someone to sell if they no longer fit my training program and obviously promotion gets you a nice bonus as you move up. When I'm moving up I typically surround my trainees/core guys with 32-year-old players I find for cheap and can move off of for a small loss in a season or two.

The core of all that money is your arena and I see you're building that up.

The reality is if you want to compete for an NBBA title with these guys that have been playing for all these seasons you'll need $10MM to have a shot at winning and that takes some time to get to. I'm currently sitting at $8.2MM and with how much I make a week my 3rd run at the top MIGHT get started with $10MM after I get to Div IV next season and my trainees can start helping me win and advance.

This is a super high-level musing if you have any more specific strategic questions we can keep this thread rolling or shoot me a BB-Mail.

Does this mean I can “take it easy” when my team plays yours?! Ha-ha! Thanks for being so candid! Great advice and hopefully one of these days we’ll play against each other in NBBA…!

Thanks for the insights!
I have this weakness of wanting to be competitive every season. Then I end up hanging onto some of the young guys I build up and having those huges salaries to deal with when I'm not in a position to promote. Virgil Harley is my current example. So, a mental block I have to get over.

Oh, and one question. When training pg, which skill do you start with?
Thanks.
