Avoiding down years is challenging. What I can do to prevent that is build the best possible roster the US U21 has to offer. I will look at talent ranging not just from 21 but also from 18-21. I won't prevent a very talented rookie or 2nd-year player from playing on this team.
I look for the best possible attributes for each position: shooting, defense, passing, and rebounding.
