I was tempted to put autobid at 1m quite early on, but then I was curious to see how much money you had, because earlier you just told me you were broke, so I didn't expect it to get to 800k and I went on with the bidding spree. I can actually spare 1m+, because IF you win the bid, and beat me in the Cup, then I'm dead.
If I lose in the Cup, I can either keep my squad for the whole season (another 7 weeks?) and lose 1m+ in salaries, or I can cut the salaries now, and buy them just before the playoffs, which is peak price season, but if I do that, I will probably lose more than 1m+. And both of those won't even guarantee that I win the SBBL. So even if I pay 1.5m for NLN, winning the cup will get me 435k, then the subsequent 7 weeks of 200k plus the final salary free week, I end up with net profit. With a roster that is as expensive as mine, I cannot risk losing the cup.
But then I almost gave up, because after putting the last bid, I realized his Cup match had just finished, and his owner played him for 48 mins, so that means his weekly minutes is pass 100.
