I have really enjoyed my time as Japan NT manager and working with the Japanese Community, but today I no longer have enough time to devote to this task in order to do an effective job.
I therefore believe it's time for me to step down, and I will not be seeking reappointment. So, season 70 is my last one.
I will continue to support and follow Japan's progress, and of course train players who may be able to apply for places in the U21 or NT teams as long as my second team continues to exist.
I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this adventure in any way, and I wish the Japanese Community and its NT teams all the best. I will remain available if help is needed from time to time.
I now have a few games left to enjoy and bring a few more victories to Japan.
