Following the successful division III campaign, the ballers have entered the ranks of division II, the highest feat for this team in their history. Parties ran late into the night in Leeds celebrating the promotions. Fans praised home grown Feeney Lee who after averaging 40 ppg in the playoffs lead the team in scoring to secure the division title.
GM Tom Parkin spoke about the promotion to the press the following day..."i can't believe its finally happened, its been a long time coming for the players, most of who have been with us for a long time now, their hard work has payed off. I'd like to congratulate each and every member of the team and to enjoy their week off before the hard work starts again"
Following the promotion, Parkin signed Herman Crane, a rookie guard who showed promise in the training camps. Another home grown talent to add to the team should in the future help boost the fan base for the team, as Parkin and the players have high hopes for Crane and they hope he will quickly fit into the roster as it shall be a hard season ahead for the Ballers.
