What's up for season 24 ?

"Hi Jona. Could we know a bit more about the upcoming season ? Supporters are worried about this."

Jona says : "They must know the franchise's trying to form a roster able to stay in BBBL immediately. We lost too much competivity comparing to BBBL franchises during the 2 past seasons."

"How will you able to be competitive immediately whereas you sell 2 important players to achieve that goal ?"

Jona says : " "Immediately" doesn't mean "being ready at the start of the season". We've to spend a bit of time to take the right decisions on the transfer market. You must know our financial balance wasn't strongly positive during the 2 past seasons. Although we've got money to spend on an interesting player immediately but we prefer waiting for a moment as I explained early. Be sure we won't make the same mistakes than in our season 21. I won't say it will be easy but let's take all chances in our side.

How are your training plans for your 3 potential players ?

Jona says : "I admit I'm a bit disappointed on this point. Jean-Romain didn't improve as expected this season and he seems so far from a Belgium NT selection despite a wonderful game performance during a NT scrimmage at the start of last season (34 pts, 12 ass against the U-21 Team) which might hope the best for him. His 'superstar' potential seems to lower his improvement abilities (2 pops in the whole season despite a weekly full training !). On the other hand I'm more optimistic on both potentials of Kristoff Vanderschaeghe and Romke Bellings. They're improving well but they're not ready for BBBL level yet. They're clearly NT contenders if we keep training them. It's obviously in our intentions."

In recent games we see your team playing more and more often 'Princeton' offensive scheme. Aren't you worried to be forecasted by your opponents ?

Jona says : "Not at all ! I think this offensive scheme is one of the most difficult one to establish because it requires using uncommon players with good secondary skills which can adapt themselves to other offensives schemes than the only "Princeton". I repeat I'm very enthusiastic in developping a team like this. I think that this changing philosophy engaged 3 seasons ago will pay in the future."
