Competition is in full swing

As everybody knows, Great 8 conference has never seemed so strong than now. After a big part of season spent in a tanking mode, VT's manager decided to reinforce his team to keep it safe in BBBL for one more season. We interviewed him to get his impressions about the beginning of the season 25.

Hi Jona. Why do you think about your team for this season ?

" I think my team is at a good level for the BBBL, but not enough to stay safe in the Great 8 ... "

It's a strange declaration. So do you mean you aren't ready in struggling in the "bloodbath conference" ? You have definitively not the BBBL requested level...

" Hey mate ! Juste have a look at the team rosters of my conference opponents : Cowboys and Mizu are two prestigious teams which haven't to be presented anymore...The Spartans is a wonderful well-balanced team with a smart manager ; he knows all the positive that I'm thinking of him. Stonestars, a long-term BBBL team, has hired an incredible experienced team with wonderful players and its manager is focused on team results this season (no training priorities). Royal Canin has got 7 heavy players able to destroy everything on 1 game, and probably more. Look at its performance in the away game at Arlon ! It remains TBS and Obira, which are 2 respectable teams that I'm really happy to have defeated in the past games... That means my team roster's able to make beautiful performances and shows that it can struggle in BBBL. "


What's it missing to achieve your goal ?

" I won't confess it to you but I know how I can improve my team to avoid the 2 last seats. "

I'm sorry Jona, but I show your team finishing 7th at the end of season like JoeMaverick, the well-respected analyst. Anyway the 7th place should be sufficient to save your skin.

" No, it shouldn't ! I think I won't face a demobilizied team like in the past season and HC will be crucial. That's why I'll do everything I can in order to finish at least 6th. "

Will you forget the training of your youth players to achieve your optimistic aim ?

" No, I won't. I know I won't be able to train them like it should be the best but they will get their training minutes. The priority will be done to Alaerts' formation. "
