The Cymru Basketball Federation can confirm the appointment of Taffy Jones as the new national team manager. We are delighted that Taffy has accepted the role and we fully expect success in the long term. We thank KT-Poshy for his service and wish him luck in the future.

Taffy Jones was interviewed at the press conference and said the following:

"I am the proudest man in Wales...what more could I ask for than being allowed to manage the Cymru national team?! I can't wait to get into the office and start planning the future of this great nation. I will be conducting a full squad review and contacting existing and potential future managers over the next few days. I am looking to the future...we have been drawn a frightening European tournament group and few see us getting anything out of it. We will certainly be going all guns to cause an upset...we are Welsh, we are proud!"

Taffy went on to discuss his future plans of improving the squad, increasing contact to the club teams in Wales and national team club managers across the world, a full review of last years teams performances and the promotion of Cymru to potential new managers to Buzzerbeater. He is planning to work very closely with Karangula (Cymru U21 manager) a manager who he has a huge amount of respect for. He also expressed how he wanted to be approachable by anyone and looked forward to forging many new friendships.
