Grøa is looking forward to a new season. There has been some changes in the dressing room. We have disposed of one SF, Ceriani, to the Portugese II-league, who was a terrible buy in the first place, and who didn't fit well in, neither in the dressing room, nor on the field. Also, our chinese SG/SF has left, and can now be found in Australia's III-league. Not a great loss either!
New players are a SF from Switzerland, an italian SG and a fairly talented PF/C from Portugal. All should, in due time, hopefully be able to make Grøa a bit more competitive.
We were fairly lucky in the draft, and picked Love Sundling, a Center with good height, great potential, and the possibilities of becoming really good.
This season is a bit mixed when it comes to expectations. We realize that Great 8 is getting more and more competitive by the year, but we still have hopes of grabbing the 4th playoff-spot again, but expect 5th, 6th or even 7th spot. We will focus on training our young players this year, but will also strive to get a decent position and save our place amongst the BLNO-teams.
Tonight we play our "rivals" Funkadelics. Probably great fun as always :)
