Season 15: On to the Repechage

Quick note: For off-site discussion about the Canadian National Teams, Canadian managers are invited to visit and join the BBCanada Forums: http://bbcanada.forumotion.com

In season 14, the Canadian U21 battled hard, but was unable to take away a direct ticket to world's from either the United States or Argentina. This means that we will be playing in the repechage round to start the season. Our group includes Belgium, Canada, Ghana, and Taiwan, with the winner moving on to the world championships. Our main goal will be to win our group, and secure that spot, although it won't be easy. If we come up short, then we will head off to the consolation round, and try to secure home court advantage for the S16 Americas Championships.

At the start of the season, our world ranking is down to 25th, after hovering in the top 10 for quite awhile (mainly due to our world championship appearance in season 13). We do have a pretty good group of players this season, and if the breaks go our way, then our world ranking will be moving back up in no time. Even if things don't work out in the repechage, we should still be looking at a fun and interesting season, that should provide plenty of exciting moments.

With a stunning, 98-96, victory against Taiwan team Canada is in great shape to advance to the World Championships!
