This Season, BuzzerBeater rolled out sweeping financial overhauls that reshaped the long‑standing meta. Player salary formulas were rebuilt, and the asset‑holding tax threshold dropped sharply from 25M to 15M while the tax rate doubled from 10% to 20%.

The intended goal was clear: curb tank‑and‑hoard behaviour, balance competition and protect smaller teams.

However reality played out differently. Established teams holding large cash reserves were forced to spend heavily to avoid heavy taxes. Massive capital flooded the transfer market, driving widespread inflation across all price brackets.

Newly‑founded teams like my team , which never tanked to stack cash, ended up bearing all the side‑effects. We face inflated market prices while competing against veteran rosters that got huge upgrades from dumping excess money.

The reform meant to punish tanking ended up penalizing fresh managers building from scratch. There is a sharp gap between the devs’ vision of fair competition and the harsh reality for new teams this season.

This season has been rough for new players such as myself.
As an old Chinese saying goes: better short‑term pain than long‑term agony.
I’m willing to back this reform, and I hope it will truly make the game better for all managers.

I managed to rebuild my team in 1 day, at the peak of the market actvity, on the first Thursday right before Friday nonetheless

Only builds that are very inflated in price are the utmost top builds or incredibly salary efficient builds, otherwise the rest of the market remains largely unaffected

Hello

I agree with you, I think a lot of people forget that saving money is also part of training and building a team. The number one rule is train.

. I’ve been here for about 7–8+ seasons, give or take, and I’ve probably spent 1–2 million or so every season training players, while also investing in the arena. Yes, the floor salary helped, but a lot of people abused it.

I agree with what you’re saying. A top manager can change a team almost overnight by spending a lot of money( or little money now), but creating an identity for your ball club takes many seasons. It takes serious saving, planning and investment to build a team with a certain identity.

An update can change the game overnight, but a championship-level team with a strong identity cannot be created overnight, especially with certainty. The current changes can create a huge setback for managers who have spent many seasons building that foundation this just my opinion on that..

Honestly, I feel like the owner or whom ever should either let the market prices run wild or use a much higher tax threshold, or just something better . There’s no point in taking 5–20M from successful managers for saving money when highly skilled players are going for 15K–50K a pop.

Training is the real reward,If someone has saved that money through many seasons of building and training, I don’t think the game should punish them so heavily for it. Saving and managing your finances should also be considered part of the strategy in a training game . Im very confused on the angle here , tight price, cheap talent. Longer rosters.. I have been out staffed 9 v 15 in one match.. .
