(What everyone who participates to Season 4 of HGL needs to do now-post)


Season 5 HGL Threads (main and scores thread) have now been set up, so HGL related conversation will mainly take place in those Threads from now on (links at the end of post).

What everyone who participates to Season 5 of HGL needs to do now:

1. At least briefly check out your season schedule (posts 6 and 7 on Season 5 Scores Thread, link at the end of post);
I'm saying this because during seasons I've spotted multiple small mistakes from my posts, so in general having another eyes to check things briefly doesn't harm.
On the other hand, we're reusing schedule from Season 4, so something extremely strange should've happened if Season 5 RS schedule would be faulty in some way.

2. Create an own box score post for your team, just like during all earlier HGL Seasons.
As an idea for your convenience (and to retain preferred standard for HGL) you should reply to this message here: (331391.22) and from that post of mine copy-paste everything below * * * * * * * to create your own box score post (and after copy-pasting it, you only need to change your team name/abbreviation, opponent name for each Regular Season round, and add match links to it as soon as matches for Season 5 have been organized by you and your opponents).
If you need a memory refresher on how your box score post for the season works/how you edit it once you have box score links to add, you can read this post: (328546.13).

3. Familiarize yourself with match organization process if you need a refresher (guide will be made available on 'Announcement'-posts on both Official Threads) and ask questions (if needed) preferably before you'll start the process.

4. Start organizing HGL Regular Season matches (sending and accepting Pickup match challenges, 17 per team during Season 5)

5. Please note that I have changed the way how PU match challenge responsibilities (CR) are shown in schedule: if you see # in front of your team name, you are responsible for sending challenge (and if you don't see it in front of your team name, it's your responsibility to accept correct challenge against that opponent).

6. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
It's always better to ask first, if you´re unsure about something, even though learning by mistakes is also effective (as we all have experienced, I´m sure). We have many helpful managers in our HGL community, and if you don't feel like asking on Official Threads, you may also send me a BBMail. Sometimes though you might receive quicker answer on Threads, so that's one of the reasons why I recommend that option, especially if you're pressed with time with your problem.

@all participating managers: you need to provide a similar kind of list (as seen below, underneath the line of stars), a.k.a. your team's own box score post on Season 5 HGL Scores-thread (once that Thread is soon published), before Season 5 starts. For new-to-HGL managers instructions on how to easily create this is found on messages (326590.42) and (326590.43).
While instructions remain correct in previous 2 links (apart from amount of matches played; 17 Regular Season Rounds are played on Season 5, and not 15), they refer to HGL Season 1 match days.

But to put it in short, you're free to copy-paste this into your HGL Season 5 box score post, and just change your team name to replace 'WAG', and your opponent name for each Round, and add match box score link (match number) instead of 'xxx' (at [match=xxx]) to all Regular Season matches when matches have been organized.

I'd like everyone to follow this sort of structure (in your own box score posts) to keep it easier for me to interpret. You may edit it a bit, but please keep all essential information in it.

You'll need to keep on adding scores of the matches to your own box score posts during the whole season when matches have been played.

Season 5 schedule is now published (exceptionally first on HGL Season 4 Thread, but it will be moved to Season 5 Scores Thread once it has been established and it's content created), so every manager participating on HGL Season 5 should now start organizing Season 5 Regular Season matches, as this is an essential pre-season task for everyone.


So, here are match days for Season 5 of HGL, and you may eventually (when Season 5 Scores Thread has been published) copy-paste everything below line of stars below to your own Season 5 box score post:
