Congrats Wagner ... a bit disapointed for me ... a bad choice on my defensive tactic but a lot of good skills for me, only in free throw, 15 FT vs 27 FT despite a gap of only 4 faults, a gap of 2,2 years in average age, maybe experience could make the difference in this game

Thanks ned, I decided to take a risk with that tactic, thinking that I want to try to restrict your 3 pointer efficiency, and hopefully will gain some of the lost rebounds in defensive end (due to 1-3-1 tactics), by driving to the basket and therefore hopefully acquiring more offensive rebounds than usually. I also noticed from HGL Team Stats that offensive rebounds is not one of your teams' strong points, so I had courage to select that tactics.

As for your players, I believe Stilli and Barozzi (both MVP potential and 22 years) are going to take even bigger role in your team in the future (if and when you will keep on training them?), and maybe we'll also hear more about Scolesi (18yo HOF) in the future... :)

Thank you WiMaOl, and it was a great game from you too (despite the defensive tactic choice in this match, which didn't happen to match my selection), and it's always interesting to play against you as matches are even and either one of us could take the win on any given day we meet.

You had a strong 4th quarter with 40 points, and I was already thinking if you'd race across the 48 minute mark with higher points at the scoreboard (sometimes it has happened to me that I run out of gas in the 4th and opponent goes by - I wonder if it's due to exhaustion effect of older players, of which I have plenty, or what is the actual reason?).

And yes, thank you for reminding that I'm one of the oldest teams (4th oldest to be more precise, behind of only HB, VPO and BCR) in whole HGL xD I'm not looking forward to that aging process being completed finally (without having as much quality to replace those players), but I guess meanwhile experience can also be useful to some extent as you mentioned.

This time I probably/likely (I don't have history records about this though) made a personal (note: my team record, not the whole HGL) HGL record with only 2 turnovers in this match, which was also one of the deciding points (even though you also took excellent care of the ball with only 6 TO's).

Great match, and I´m always looking forward to our meetings!

Despite having some foul trouble, my team has been very effective in defense.
1/13 for my opponent behing the arc, 44 Rbds (vs 40) AND a bonus with Off reb. win (18/13) which is very unusual. We stole only 5 balls but we lost only a (record ?) tiny ONE ball :) Hardboll was 1/12 (steal/to), I think the victory is there.

Another very good new is the performance of my INT Sub Dorion : 15 pts, 17 rbds, 6 assts (10 off Rbds) during the 27 min he was on court.

Thanks demars again with your match report (and same words to everyone else who has commented something in tactics, or published a match report!), it sure was very impressive defense and also having 1 turnover in a match - one could not possibly blame you for sloppy ball handling. :)

Also, you were able to restrict HGL league leaging Hårdboll in AST/TO-statistics (4,18 after 9 games) to far more conservative numbers of 22AST and 12TO's in this match. HB was also second in Turnover rate (TO-%) with 6,5%, and in actual turnovers with 6,8/game, so forcing 12 of them is way beyond the average.

Also, 19732 spectators in that match (that was played in China) - is this a new HGL record? (Again, I don't have statistics on this "essential" information;).

League tables are now up to date after 11 Rounds of RS play.

Only 6 to go, and many things still remain to be decided, including:
- who will get to Playoffs
- who will get home advantage to First Round of Playoffs, and
- which 4 teams will earn a place to Second Round of Playoffs "automatically" (as a reward for their RS success)!

(I should've just said that pretty much everything is still open... xD)

RS R 12: Friday, Feb 27th, 2026 LGM 90 - 101 ED (137821226)

Good win today as I was trying a new Inside Couple, since my veterans seem to struggle sometimes (both 36 yo).
The result is that we won the rebound battle, especially off rebds (15) and that we made our opponent make many PF (24 -> 37 FT for us).
Stl/To was again very good (9/7 for us, 3/13 for LGM)

Last but not least, we won vs a french team :D

Today we were completely dominated by the strong KKS side, who showed us no mercy. Their 1-3-1 defense caused all my attempted 17 3-pointers to miss, while I. Ðurbuzović alone scored 8 out of 9 for them. Our shooting with below 32% was terrible all around, which was somewhat expected against the strong defense of KKS. Funnily, the game ratings show a higher grade for me in rebounding, although losing rebounds with 63-46. Something positive from the game? We were able to make more blocks that the record holders KKS Strong win, Pihija, and good luck for the final games of the RS!

Fresh league tables available after 12 Rounds.

3 especially interesting matches,

- 10W-1L teams RAJ and VIV had a clash, and RAJ took 4th by 7 and therefore match by 7. High level competition was seen in this important match between highly ranked teams..

- in an another one of French vs. French match, VDT was able to find a 2 point win against WMO, and now having won 5 of their last 6 matches and climbing upwards in a league table. WMO on the other hand is 2W-6L in their last 8 matches, so their direction has been almost completely opposite recently. WMO scrored 3 points behind the 3 point arc, while for VDT the same number was 42. On the other hand WMO had 11 more second chance attempts, 19 more free throw attempts and only 3 turnovers (vs. 11), but still VDT took the win in this nailbiter match.
Very important win for VDT, equalizing things with WMO at 5W-7L each, and getting above the Playoff line (of 12 first teams).

- LGM-ED, another of French vs. French matches. ED is now 6W-2L in their last 8 matches, LGM 2W-5L in their last 7. A match that LGM really didn't want to lose, as now they're below the Playoff-line (however, there are still "lots" of matches remaining). ED slightly better on several stats categories, including turnovers and offensive rebounds, however, LGM had better FG%. Both teams were shooting lots of bricks from the three point land though (and I know how it feels, after VPO butchering me by second-largest win of their season, by 37 to be exact).

Anyone has some thoughts on Monday's games, yes?
