@VR75,
Thank you for creating a box score post for your HGL-PL Season 5!
However, currently your match link on Sunday July 26th vs. borteam refers to wrong match (match on July 14th vs. J.A.S.P.).

You need to go to your team schedule-page, click to match setup/tactics setup on that borteam-match (instead of match against J.A.S.P.), then note the match number there, and replace that "139200002" with correct number.

Other than that, you got the idea right in terms of what teams' box score post (for HGL-PL teams) should look like, so as long as you add correct links to all of your matches, you will be good to go (of course as long as you've gotten rid of Javid Bolourchian (which is HGL-PL ineligible player) in time, preferably sooner than later - you still have a short while to sell him if you so choose to, but remember that you will be totally disqualified from this Seasons' HGL-PL should you enter it having any ineligible players in your roster on 20th of July).

**************

@all HGL-PL managers, important, read through:

As you already know as I sent you all BBMail about it, you need to create similar box score post as VR75 (San Fernando VR) has created, and add correct match links to it immediately when matches have been organized as time is of the essence here; in any case before matches are being played.

This is because there needs to be enough time for me to check out specifics (day, time, correct opponents, etc.) of those matches before they start. Remember, only correct matches (with correct specs) are being accepted as results.

As far as creating your own box score post goes, of course I mean 'similar' in terms of box score post structure; you need to remove other than your own matches from your box score post.

Please ask questions here on this official HGL Thread, or send me BBMail, if you have any questions.

@all HGL-PL teams, please read:

As some teams might face this same dilemma, I'll reply to everyone at the same time.

You can challenge teams without being a Supporter, when you use Pickup-function, which we use in HGL and in HGL-PL.

You can follow team links on this HGL-PL schedule/league table-post (here: (331392.21)) to access each HGL-PL team page. For San Fernando VR their team page for instance would be found through this link (that is also available in that post), here: (77070).

From that team page, when you scroll down, it's important to choose the right option; not the friendly match, but Pickup match instead.

Here's the procedure in a nutshell:

1. First click the day and time selection (which currently to me looks like this: "2026-07-13 08:15").

2. Then choose correct day - note, that Buzzerbeater uses American format in calendar, so last day of the week is Saturday and not Sunday; check out that number of the day is correct.

3. After that, choose time for the match.
All matches are played at Official Match Time, just like in HGL.
This means that all matches will begin at the same time, and end approximately at the same time (if it's hard to grasp the idea, you can think it like it that we could be discussing over chat about all of the matches at the same time, even though we reside on other sides of the world).
As for time and day selection, it's important to get it right. Remember, matches with wrong specs do not count.
How do you know what's correct time of the day? Check out HGL-PL post (link above), and note time in front of your team name.
When you send Pickup challenge, you use this time in front of your team to challenge teams.
When you accept PU challenge, you should only accept challenge if it's correct time your local time (time in front of your team name).

Example: If I would challenge Tassie Devils, I would send challenge at 03.30PM EET DST (Eastern European Time, Daylight Savings Time), as that's the official HGL and HGL-PL match time.
As there is time difference of 7 hours between myself and Tassie Devils, for Tassie Devils the match would start at 10.30PM their time. In other words, if Tassie Devils would see any other time than 10.30PM as my challenge time, they should not accept my challenge, but contact me and send message about it to HGL Thread(s).

4. When you have chosen correct day and time, click 'Done'. Note that at this point challenge has not yet been sent!

5. Then, one important step - click 'Challenge!'. If you don't do this last click, then match challenge is not being sent (we've had this similar situation in HGL as well).

6. If you've been the team that's challenging another team, you need to check out periodically your teams' schedule (or Friendly matches-page) to see if that match has been already accepted.
Match number is only becoming visible after it's been accepted.

7. When match has been accepted, note match number and add it to your own teams box score post (as a match link).

8. If you are team that are receiving challenge, remember to check out all match specifics; correct opponent, day, time and court balance, and then remember to accept match offer. Communicate with manager who has sent challenge and preferably also send message to me or here on Official HGL Thread if match specs are not correct. Do not accept match with wrong specs.
When you have accepted correct challenge, add match link to your teams' own box score post (for HGL-PL), just as challenging team would do.

With these previously mentioned and linked instructions (that have also been given on HGL Threads - we follow pretty much the same procedure as in HGL) and BBMails, all HGL-PL teams should be able to proceed the way they're supposed to.

Thanks, Wagner. Yes, I am very happy with thew slow upward direction of my club.

We do seem to have somewhat opposite direction in that regard, at least when it comes to rate of positive development, or in my case it could even turn into a slow decline in worst case as I have plenty of 'oldies but goldies' in my team that are going to collapse big time soon in terms of salary - I wonder if Season 6 will be the first (of many?) Season(s) when your team is claiming the bragging rights for the HGL Season in our RS meeting.

Semifinals are now wrapped up, and again, home teams were unbeaten.

Therefore, Medal Games on Season 5 look like this: (331391.9).

During Season 5 RS VPO beat RAJ by 2 points on neutral court.

And KKS beat VIV by 9 on neutral court, so current home teams (for S5 Medal Games) have already outperformed their opponents once this Season - will Season 5 be the first Season where both away teams would be able to surprise their opponents on Medal Games, or is the dominance of home teams going to continue in HGL?

Being favorites though is very relative, as all top 4 teams have an excellent HGL win-loss records on Season 5 (and respectable world rankings, 'WR'):

Final teams:
VPO 16 wins-1 loss (WR 794)
RAJ 15W-2L (WR 822)
***
Bronze medal match teams:
KKS 14W-3L (WR 1765)
VIV 14W-3L (WR 913)

As we can see, we once again have top4 of the Regular Season in the Medal Games.
So Regular Season success seems to predict Playoff success quite well, however, top8 salary alone doesn't do it with same accuracy it seems, like you can see from here: (331392.52).

I know it's only 1 Season, so not too many assumptions should be made. But it's still refreshing to see (from an underdog's perspective, as my team qualifies as one) that salary alone doesn't guarantee success.

As for some additional "extra statistics", then possibly this could be interesting: (331391.178)), the price of win.
Meaning total salary of top8 players times weeks on HGL Regular Season, divided by wins during Regular Season.

Here are the results (with the reservation of not being double-checked for errors), price per win during RS:

Team $K/wk Wins Price/win

VPO 418 16 $209K
RAJ 493 15 $263K
KKS 566 14 $323K
VIV 463 14 $265K
EOS 613 13 $377K
LMS 628 13 $386K
ED 372 12 $248K
WMO 357 11 $260K
LGM 271 9 $241K
VDT 276 8 $276K
MAD 304 7 $347K
HB 425 6 $567K
WAG 357 5 $571K
BCR 412 4 $824K
HGK 208 2 $832K
FRE 173 2 $692K
ALA 183 0 ∞ (no wins)
TRO 304 2 $1.216M

Most cost-efficient teams of Season 5 in "price per win":
1. VPO – $209K/win
2. LGM – $241K/win
3. ED – $248K/win
4. WMO – $260K/win
5. VIV – $265K/win

Most expensive wins on Season 5 in "price per win":
1. TRO – $1.216M/win
2. HGK – $832K/win
3. BCR – $824K/win
4. FRE - $692K/win
5. WAG - $571K/win
(ALA - total salary cost per 8 weeks $1.464M - no wins)

Well done, bort - match time and day is correct.

If match is played on neutral court (I suppose you both checked that out), then it's 100% correctly done.

Please proceed to organizing other matches as well, as soon as possible, thank you.

If any problems/challenges or questions arise, please let me know.

M.L.S. REICH and Tassie Devils still haven't created their box score posts for their teams, and MLS has only been logged in on 11th. BBMail has been sent to all HGL-PL participants already on 11th of JUly, both on start of match organizing process and for a need to create a box score post.

Still no box score posts created, or as far as I understood from message of one manager, match offers sent either by Tassie Devils nor M.L.S. REICH (but I could have also mistaken in my interpretation).

So I sent them another reminder by BBMail, reminding everyone that all matches need to be organized prior to beginning (so that I can check match specs). I noted everyone that this is an urgent process and match organizing window is open only a short while (which they must've noticed already, but sometimes it's necessary to repeat), and teams risk being disqualified from (or forfeiting matches in) HGL-PL should they not organize matches in time.

And as I have probably restricted access to BB tomorrow, I guided them here on Official HGL Threads if they have any urgent questions.

It's fine if you don't have an answer for them, but I guess I've opened up the rules of HGL-PL deep enough so that many of us could guide them in general HGL-PL questions and match organizing process, especially as we're generally sticking with HGL practices that we're all familiar with (and that'll get every HGL-PL participant ready for HGL as well as possible simultaneously, as they're already learning important steps going through this process).
