Is there a factor for team chemistry, where teams with players who have played together for multiple seasons get a boost to offensive flow and possibly team defense?

No. We don't have team chemistry as an attribute in the game. New acquisitions though experience game shape drop after the transfer and you need a week or two to get them back in higher game shape with careful weekly minute management. That's the short-term management after buying a player. Somewhat slower roster management (long-term) is when you specifically train the newly acquired players, so that by improving some of their skills they would better complement with the skills of your veteran players, when running certain type of offense.
