"Spela, now that I checked (January 16th at 12.30PM), all your challenges show up at the correct time in your box score post: 14.30EET, a.k.a. 02.30PM EET.
"

Well I have not accepted the one that say 12:30 for me. Written the lad. See if changed.

Well done, that's exactly right. And then especially if we at some point start to be pressed on time - I now use this as an example situation - one can also alert me about it (just as you have done) that there´s still problem with the challenge.

Update on pre-season progress: only 1 HAD's match is organized currently at 14.30EET (the other one that he had organized is played at 15.30EET, based on information I received today), so only my match would need to be rescheduled slightly (against myself and BC Eos) if we get an 18th team to join HGL for Season 4.
(Still no login from a manager that has received a request/suggestion to join for S4, but I'll keep you guys updated).

Salary benefits for HGL teams on Season 3-post published, here: (328546.4), also known as "SB".

Similar post will be published on Season 4 as well.

Condensed version of above mentioned post in a table form below;
order of teams based on receiving most salary benefit:

(player count is correct before draftees on Season 70-71 (HGL Seasons 3-4) change have arrived, and therefore are based on above mentioned salary benefit post player count, which is used to count percentages below)

Team ||| Amount of SB ||| Total SB in relation of top8-salaries ||| (% of their players are re-purchased players)

1. Virtus Portici ||| $250K / 51% / (47,6%)

2. BC Eos ||| $53K / 13,7% / (15,4%)

3. Lielupes Melnas Sirdis ||| $51K / 13,9% / (8,3%)

4. Rajdersi ||| $175 / 0,05% / (8,3%)

I felt there was a need for renaming earlier, afore mentioned "SB % of top8-salaries"-statistics as I found it complicated, and it was not 100% statistically optimal/easily comparable/problem free (renaming of statistical category was needed) due to:
-not separating if all those players, that have been re-purchased (that cause salary benefit) are among top8-players
-which part of top8-salary players (how many, and which part of the top 8 salary) do re-purchased players form.

Nevertheless, it gives some idea of the current situation, and another comparison layers such as what I just presented can be added.
But now naming shouldn't be so confusing as I renamed it to "Total SB in relation of top8-salaries".

@ all HGL managers,
*IMPORTANT UPDATE*

18th Team will join HGL immediately (for Season 4) to replace Svätý Jur Snakers (HAD).

Team is called BC Rajaleidjad (manager Trailblazer), abbreviation in schedules BCR (122619).

Actions from all managers are needed:

- Important: Everybody needs to either accept or send match challenge against BC Rajaleidjad

- Currently if you see HAD in schedule, that means BC Rajaleidjad (BCR), but I'll change that soon (for example in my case, I'll play against him on February 16th, as that's originally when I was supposed to face HAD)

- I asked him if he'd be willing to send all his challenges on this season, to streamline the challenging process (as we are pressed in time), but he hasn't logged in since sending this BBMail.

- Regardless of what he will respond, all of you have also a chance to send him a correct match challenge now instead of waiting for him to challenge you, if you want to use extra token for it. I emphasize word correct, as he does not have experience to distinguish wrong and correct challenge that easily.

- everybody please remember that he hasn't had time to read through all posts, so I appreciate if you also can help him out throughout the PU match organization process

- I'll now proceed to sending match challenge to BC Rajaleidjad, changing schedule (abbreviation name changes), and adding information to participating teams-posts and all other places where teams are mentioned.

He will need to be a bit more active once the League starts.

We should tell him to set a standard lineup, he could repeat my mistake from Season 2 :D

Yes, however, it's even more important to be active before the league starts. We have potentially very problematic match on Round 1, BCR-ALA, 2 new teams facing each other. It's also BCR's challenge responsibility, but maybe I need to ask ALA if they're willing to challenge.
I informed BCR manager that handling this match organization process needs some logins during this week. And still the box score post is missing. If you happen to see Trailblazer (BCR manager) in Discord or somewhere, please let him know we are slowly but surely starting to be in a rush.

And yes, pro-tip from you - once you have enough players and have set a deep starndard lineup, I think it's possible to avoid that kind of mistake. :)

EDIT:
now that I took a quick glance at the rules, a clear rule is determined for the situation you faced (too little amount of players in a roster):
"B) not dressing at least 3 healthy players or
dressing less than 3 players to a match in total (whether injured or healthy) for the match:
Level 3 penalty; ineligibility for the current season playoffs."

On the other hand, by a quick glance I didn't found a clear statement to say this would apply to a match that has not been organized at all, but instead it does state in the beginning:
"However, there are practically only 4 additional categories on how one will get penalized:
A) become non-homegrown team during any part of HGL season
B) play too small roster, or cause a forfeit by dressing less than 3 players
C) not arrange or accept a correct Pickup match on time, which would cause match to be cancelled/postponed and/or leave another manager insufficient time to set lineups for match [...]"

And as far as Playoffs matches are concerned, which is another story of course but possibly could be applied here as well(?), it states:
"- If Playoff match is not played and it can be clearly proven which teams' fault this was, penalties will apply.; Level 2 penalty (0-50 forfeit loss) for the team committing the violation"

Again though, even though it's BCR's responsibility to challenge, we could be facing "who's the quilty part"-discussion, due to which I advice everybody to not get into any trouble, as that causes us and myself trouble. (As I've mentioned several times, I really don't want to make this a "prove it by screenshot"-league).

And for some situations, there is also no clear rule if nobody admits that they're guilty (even though always someone is, even though it includes interpretation to some extent especially as it's a special situation as new teams are concerned and as we are very much pressed in time), and I am emphasizing that very strongly in rules; please do follow the quidelines so that we aren't drawn into situations for where there are no rules and penalties set/in place.

Please correct me if I ignored some part in rules (that this possible incident is related to).
Luckily didn't have to visit rules-section all that often, so I can't remember every little detail without checking it out now and then.

Wagner, do I understand correctly that there is no need to inform you about the transfers made during the HGL offseason (that is, before January 26th)?

Wagner, do I understand correctly that there is no need to inform you about the transfers made during the HGL offseason (that is, before January 26th)?

It's good and I would actually say really necessary practice to keep me informed, because at the end of the day, that's still officially part of the Season 3 transfers, as transfers need to be "tied" to some specific HGL Season in order to be able to keep it more simple in terms of following HGL teams rosters (and making season by season salary calculations more simple, etc.).
If I wouldn't register off-season transfers anywhere, then I'd have an incomplete transfers-listing.

So to clear things (especially season to season recurring top8-salary and age calculations) a bit, a practice has been adopted that Season 3 transfers begin from opening day of Season 3 Regular Season, and are registered as Season 3 transfers if they happen on 25th of January 2026 at the latest (because Season 4 begins on January 26th).

It is beneficial for all, that we can have a clear view on player transfers, and what is each teams' "transfer policy" and how their roster develops through such changes.

So to make sure kecal, your intention wasn't buying "non HGL eligible players" during offseason?

So I ask every manager to report all of their transfers to me - if you don't want to make a public announcement here on Official Threads, you may do so by sending me a BBMail (and the result will be that this particular player/transfer data will be "silently" moved into a transfer post, which some managers wouldn't likely even look at). I would however encourage to do that here in HGL Threads, as then it leaves "a note" of it which makes it even easier for me to update transfer posts later on.

Informing of player transfers is especially important, if:
- Player is one of your top8-salary players
- You are firing a player - please note that I do not see those "transfers" (firing) through your teams' transfer history-page

No, I didn't buy a non HGL eligible player. Biggest change, not counting my (weak) drafts, was retiring a 39 year-old Justas Telepniovas.

Alright, thank you for information. :)
I need to update it here ((328546.14)) later on, when I do checks on team rosters from that 11th of January to 25th of January.

Basically, with this practice of everyone informing me of all of their trades/firings, I hope to be able to skip these kind of checks, but when I created Season 2 and 3 transfers-post, I realized how little amount of trades were published when they took place - or frankly, at all.

Hey, right up that alley, I'm trying to reduce my salary, so I retired my 21-year old player Martin Murumaa (54781225). He used to be in the top-8 of my salaries in season 3, should I calculate a new top-8 salary for season 3? The difference would be approx. -2K$.
I'm also still waiting for the first financial update to be sure, what the weekly income will be, it might be that I will remove some further players from the roster at the beginning of the season.
